Ganaway Activity Centre Description
Ganaway Training, Activity and Conference Centre is a 13 acre site located in an area of outstanding natural beauty in the quiet countryside between Millisle and Ballywalter in the Ards Peninsula of County Down overlooking the Irish Sea.
Selected as one of 27 centres in Northern Ireland as a London 2012 Olympic Games Pre-Games Training Camp, the centrally heated indoor modern and well appointed accommodation for up to 100 people can cater for mixed gender groups with sleeping, self-catering and disabled facilities in our Millennium Centre, Birch Lodge, Oak Lodge, Ash Cottage and newly refurbished and extended Outpost.
Added to these facilities, are The Beacon, a meeting /conference room capable of seating up to 130 people, a central kitchen and dining room, a sports hall (equivalent to one badminton court) and a Sports Arena (equivalent to four badminton courts) suitable for a range of indoor sports. If that is not enough, Ganaway can offer a range of Personal Development and Team Building activities including High Level Ropes Course, Low Level Ropes Course, Archery, Climbing, Abseiling (indoor and outdoor), Zip Line, Canoeing, Night Line, Team Initiatives and Orienteering. Also available is a large camp site area and crazy golf.
Our Vision - To provide first class facilities where young people and adults may enjoy lasting learning experience which will have a positive impact on their lives.

AFTER SCHOOLS CLUB - INFORMATION Unfortunately due to an extremely busy schools programme from September to November we will be cancelling the After Schools Adventure Club. Sorry for any inconvenience. We aim to have the club running again from December 2018.
Best of luck to our three Spanish students Alberto, Nacho and Antonio who are leaving for home today after working at the centre for the last three months. Great guys who will be missed by all the Ganaway staff and customers. Adios amigos.

We have been taking our GB for a few years now and have never been disappointed, facilities first rate, very comfortable and the staff absolutely brillant, even with our NI weather we always have a great weekend, Thank you to Norman, Billy and all the staff, we will keep coming back, x Judith, Iris and team xx
We had birthday activities here 15/2 and couldn't of been happier. 5* facilities, plenty of room and choice and a 5* instructor. Matt was very patient and interactive with the girls. Great place and will be recommending to others. An added bonus is the pricing, very reasonable. Thanks again
Took my Wallace Preparatory P6 class here last week for an overnight stay the experience was fantastic! The activities were brilliant and the helpers were all friendly and approachable! Accommodation and food excellent. Highly recommend visiting here!
Thanks to Gareth and the rest of the team for a fab day with our SERC students. Lots of great activities to keep them all entertained and a nice hot lunch which was definitely needed in that wet weather!

Just completed my Gold residential with Ganaway. Was an amazing experience loved every moment of it. Would love to do it again! All the activities were great fun and instructors make it even better.

Excellent centre for Youth groups to experience residential trips! We have had our youth weekend here for the past 2 years and would highly recommend it!
Easter Adventure was amazing and my sons had a fantastic time. All are keen to come back in the summer!

Absoloutley brilliant just did my gold Duke of Edinburgh residential there and couldnt have picked a better place!! Brilliant instructors who are willing to help everyone through all the activities and made the week extremely enjoyable! Great value for money also and great quality meals. Would definitely recommend ganaway to anyone looking to do their residential or just to try out the activities for a fun day out!! Will definitly be back, thank you!
