I have been self employed for the past 26 years.
I have been involved in all types of work, from one off domestic dwellings, commercial and industrial projects, sports and leisure schemes, Nursing Homes, Day Care Nurseries, housing developments, churches, church halls, community projects, local government schemes etc.
My office is completely computerised using CAD to produce all drawings.
I also have attained the required experience on site managing projects from concept through to completion.
I have acquainted myself with other professional consultants within the Building industry.
When required, I can build a team of professionals to undertake any project, large or small.
I am a Full Member of both CIAT (Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists) and CIOB (Chartered Institute of Building).
I feel that being associated with professional institutions such as CIAT and CIOB have benefited me in relation to meeting other professionals, sharing our thoughts and queries and developing our professional knowledge.
It also has given me more recognition by various authorities and lenders.
The partnership of these institutes creates a stronger professional team where greater access to construction information is available.
I am also broadening my knowledge by continuing my professional development by attending courses etc.
I have completed and gained the following additional qualifications:
CITB Site safety supervisors course.
NEBOSH certificate in Construction Health & Safety
NEBOSH certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management
BOHC P402 Building Surveys and Bulk Sampling for Asbestos
BOHC P405 Management of Asbestos in Buildings.
