The Northern Ireland Assembly are marking International Women's Day 2020 with an event on 6th March at Parliament Buildings.
The event will give young women between 16 and 18 a chance to meet with female MLAs before participating in a session in the Assembly Chamber chaired by Alex Maskey MLA, with all their questions being answered by the Assembly Women's Caucus.
We have up to 3 places on the event - to register your interest, email adam@girlguidingulster.org.uk by Thursday 13th February 2020 from 9.30am-3pm.

Alongside their cyber counterparts in Police Scotland and the Regional Cyber teams in England and Wales, the PSNI Cyber Crime Centre are supporting this years ‘Matrix Challenge’, an upcoming online competition aimed at 11 – 17 yr olds.
The online qualification stage is live until Friday February 14th 2020.

Eglantine Rainbows and Brownies held a promise party where they raised £71.97 and were presented with their promise badges by their District Commissioner, Joy Hawthorne.

We are looking for a Development Officer!
They will work with local guiding in Derry/L’Derry, Coleraine, Limavady, Castledawson, Portstewart, Woodschapel, Aghadowey, Kilrea and surrounding areas to identify and respond to the needs of girls and young women (4-18).
The position is fixed term to December 2020.

1st Mourne Rainbows did a sponsored walk for Air Ambulance Northern Ireland, raising over £420!!!
What an amazing difference all these donations will make!

34th Belfast Brownies enjoyed a fun night dressing in red in support of Air Ambulance Northern Ireland
The girls made whirly birds, competed in the First Aid Kit relay and Paramedic Drive, and did a quiz, all while drinking strawberry smoothies from their red paper straws.
They have raised a huge £382.06 so far!

12th Bangor Guides have spent 3 weeks learning all about Air Ambulance Northern Ireland, and on Monday finished off with a Red Night, Air Ambulance buns, games and the Paramedic Drive!
They raised an amazing £250 for the charity!!

41st Belfast Brownies raised £180 for Air Ambulance Northern Ireland through their Paramedic Drive!
Well done girls!

Comber Guides and Rangers had a visit from Grace from Air Ambulance Northern Ireland last night who told them all about the charity and why we are fundraising.
After, the girls made red and white bracelets, whirly birds, and took their donation boxes home to fundraise!

1st Kircubbin Guides had a visit from Michael, the third person in Northern Ireland to be rescued by Air Ambulance Northern Ireland, who shared with them his story and about how vital the charity is!
They raised over £100 over the last three weeks - well done Guides!!!
