Completed this job today by finally getting the lawns sown in the lovely sunshine after the long winter. Trees and shrubs were planted earlier in the year and are looking well. Good job done by the team over the last few days.

Hello Spring!! The arrival of some better weather is getting us in the mood for outdoor living. Have a look at this garden we recently finished. The client had a lot of trouble with poor drainage. During the rebuild of the garden the Glenburn team cut in a new drainage system and then added quality fill materials to bring the site back up to appropriate levels. The team then installed the supports for the pergola and laid the patio with Tobermore historic paving and grouted this with resin bound sand to give it a permeable, long lasting and aesthetically pleasing finish. Our client was delighted with the result and is looking forward to the BBQ season ... once it warms up a little!

Well, as usual its been a very busy Spring/Summer at Glenburn! We can't believe that our last post was in April!! Take a look at this garden we recently finished in East Belfast. The clients are delighted with the finished job, as are we! We carried out extensive ground works in this garden to alleviate a flood problem. Next job was to lay the brick patio and paths with Sienna sandstone from Tobermore and edged the entire garden with brick edging to create a mowing strip and provide a long lasting finish as well as reducing maintenance of the lawn. We then built and installed the fence around the full perimeter, created shrub beds and turfed the lawn...and that was only in the back garden!!

Its officially autumn time! 😯 Where did the summer go!? Theres still plenty of time to get the garden sorted though. We transformed a slope at the back of this garden into a terrace, retained with reclaimed railway sleepers & planted it up with a variety of shrubs and herbaceous perennials in only 2 days! 🌻🌹🌷

August already!!! Hope everyone is enjoying their summer! As usual we just haven't stopped at Glenburn! Last year we put in a new base for a greenhouse and sowed the new lawn! One year on the garden looks smashing! Hopefully we get some more summer sun for the clients to enjoy their lovely garden! 🌞

What a beautiful week to get out of the house and enjoy your garden. This is always a busy time of year for us at Glenburn check out this garden that we have recently completed in Belfast. This client wont mind us saying that the garden needed a total renovation. We removed a privet hedge and built a brand new vertical board fence around the perimeter. The garden was prone to severe flooding so installation of a proper drainage system was also essential. The garden was fi...nished off with a new patio area, a mowing strip around the entire garden for easy maintenance, a hard standing area with water and electric supply for a shed to be installed in one corner, 3 silver birch trees along the rear fence line and a new freshly turfed lawn. Its safe to say the boys at Glenburn worked hard at this project and exceeded all the customers expectations! Hope you enjoy your new outdoor living space! A recently completed landscape project in Comber achieving all the client wanted and more. This project involved the construction of turf walls to retain and even out the garden using the sods striped from the existing lawn, a paving brick mowing strip, a new turfed lawn, preparation planting and mulching of a large mixed shrub area, a paved area for a garden bench and hedge/ tree planting.

Having finished all our tree planting for the 15/16 season after the wettest of winters we will be glad to see spring coming and hopefully some better weather. We are already taking bookings for next season's planting so to avoid disappointment contact us well in advance for a no obligation quotation.

After a busy first year at Glenburn we have completed a varied range of landscape projects and 2016 is booking up fast!! This recent job involved removing a concrete shed and replacing it with new fencing, paving & planting to create a patio overlooking Strangford Lough.

We have recently completed phase one of this terraced garden in East Belfast. The garden was initially split into three terraces and was very overgrown and run down. Glenburn undertook the ground works by building a new retaining wall and filling the lower terrace to created a split level garden. The garden now has a grassy lower terrace and a stoney patio top terrace which will be transformed into a paved patio area in the new year. Glenburn also installed a new board fence around the perimeter of the garden and created a bin store/dog run in one corner with a bespoke little gate for the new addition - now referred to as a 'Masie Gate'! We hope all three customers are very happy and wish you health to enjoy your new garden and we will see you in the new year for phase 2!

Autumn is a beautiful & colourful time of year! With all the leaves falling off the trees it is the perfect time for a little bit of garden tlc. For advice on trees and their maintenance give us a shout!
