So today at Glenkeen Trout Fishery we are doing a bit of maintenance and ensuring the welfare of the trout and wild life. We decided to get working on bird boxes because of the challenge set earlier this week. Have a look at myself and good friend Declan Corrs first attempt.

Fionnbharr and Conlaith spent time today building the first Glenkeen bird box with their uncle. A massive well done kids. Once we reopen and all is safe I have the perfect tree for that fabulous box. You are the first to complete the task. Let's see whos next.

John Nicolette's amazing bird box building skills has inspired me to post this and keep everyone busy during this challenging time. Something we can all do with kids when bored around the house during these difficult times.
Glenkeen fishery has hundreds of trees located all over the place and an amazing number of small birds on a yearly basis which all need accommodation.
... Your Challenge if you wish to take part is to build a bird box. (To the measurements given in the picture above).
Decorate whatever way you want and we will give the best bird boxes a location around the fishery.
Also we would like people to post their pictures on our page and those who have helped to build them. You must also name your bird box.
