I understand some members may be facing difficult times over the coming weeks and months but if you are not affected and like me want to return to playing Golf at the Greenacres after these restrictions have been lifted, please remember your fees help keep the place running.

Unfortunately Michael Gove has been on TV stating that Golf could not be played. So as per the statement last night the Centre remains closed until further notice.

Based on the statement released by the Government tonight the Golf Centre have taken the decision close both the Centre and the Course until further notice. As circumstances change we will post further updates.

Just to clarify the Golf Centre have changed their opening hours only. The Centre itself will close at 6pm every day but the Course, Par 3, Mini Golf, Driving Range and Foot Golf all remain open during the day.

The Golf Centre have taken the decision to close at 6pm every night from Monday 23rd March until further notice.

As the GUI have postponed and/or cancelled all Inter Club competitions until the end of April the Ulster Cup, All Ireland Fourball, Fred Perry matches and practice rounds will not take place. Further details to follow...

We know this is stating the obvious but our end of season Winter League Dinner and Prize Night has been postponed. The Council will make a decision about holding it at a later how long the government’s restrictions will be in place.

The Golf Club has decided to cancel all club competitions until Saturday 28th March ... more details to follow. The course remains open to members and visitors.
