Sadly a member of the public has brought in 2 male tabby cats that we suspect have been involved in a road traffic accident. They were found at Breagh Road Portadown. If you know anything that might help us locate owner we would really appreciate it. They are not microchipped.

Missing from Drumnacanvy area , has anyone seen her? Warden has been notified 🐾 she is microchipped and her details are registered and correct . Goes by the name Poppy

⭐PET PASSPORT UPDATE⭐
With Brexit happening at the end of the month, we want to update our clients on the changes.
Unfortunately because we dont know how the UK will leave the EU we suggest that the best way to be ready is to contact the practice 4months before travel.
... In the case of a no deal brexit, the UK would most likely become an unlisted country. This means the following criteria is needed:
1. Your animal should be microchipped. 2. A rabies vaccination is needed. 3. At least 30days after the rabies vaccination, a blood test needs to taken. 4. Your pet can only travel 3 calender months after the blood sample (not 90days) 4.No earlier than 10days before travel, you will need a health check and certificate from your vet. This should be valid for 4months from issue. 5. Several EU listed countries are tapeworm free, therefore a tapeworm treatment is required 1-5days before travel.

Unfortunately one of our vets has to attend an accident on Richmount Road, Portadown at 1am this morning when a Brown and White male Jack Russell dog was knocked down by a car. We would like to try and get hold of the owner of the dog. He is not microchipped. Please share this to help us find his owner. Thanks

Our vet Neil (who is the only cardiology certificate holder in Northern Ireland) has just spent a week with the cardiology specialistists in Willows Vets Birmingham to further his knowledge which will help him diagnose and treat your pets heart conditions. We continually try to improve the service we provide for your pets, with all out vets having to attend at least 35 hours of training per year.

At Greenmount Vets Gilford Road Portadown our experienced veterinary surgeons and nurses are there for you and your pets when they need us.
Last Sunday evening we had some emergency surgery to do. Vet Neil and nurse Joanne Walker got it done with no fuss!! We are glad to report the dog is doing really well and will make a full recovery.
