REFLEXOLOGY

Reflexology is a complementary therapy that works through the application of a focused massage on the feet or the hands; encouraging the body to heal itself.

This specific type of massage promotes relaxation, improves circulation, reduces pain and aims to restore and maintain the body's natural equilibrium and encourage healing.

WHAT TO EXPECT

On your first visit, I will have a full consultation with you to evaluate your health and lifestyle, and agree on a personalized treatment plan.

During a treatment you will remove your shoes and socks and sit comfortably in a reclining massage table.

A typical treatment is 60 to 75 minutes long and a course of treatment may be recommended depending on your body's needs.

BENEFITS

Reflexology is a good all round therapy that aims to improve our general health and sense of well-being and has been reported in successfully alleviating for example: (many other conditions can benefit from reflexology as well)

• Back Pain
• Migraine
• Anxiety
• Sleep disorders
• Sports Injuries
• Tiredness and fatigue
• Digestive disorders
• Stress-related conditions

Reflexology is suitable for all ages. After completing a course of reflexology treatments for a specific condition, many people find it beneficial to continue with regular treatments in order to maintain health and well-being.

For certain medical conditions the application of reflexology as complementary to the regular treatments will need to be approved by your GP or other health practitioner.
of the session.

AROMATHERAPY

Aromatherapy uses the purest plant essence in the form of organic essential oils, which are extracts from various parts of plants, fruits, flowers, bark, roots, or resin.

Aromatherapy takes a holistic approach to client consultation. This provides the information necessary to select the appropriate essential oils for the maximum therapeutic benefit. The selected essential oils are blended with a carrier /base massage oil to create a unique mix for each client’s individual needs. This Aromatherapy blend is usually applied to the skin with traditional body massage.

WHAT TO EXPECT

On your first visit, I will have a full consultation with you to evaluate your health and lifestyle, and agree on a personalized treatment plan.

In case full body Aromatherapy is applied, you will be asked to remove as much clothing as you are comfortable with (your massage therapist will give you privacy to undress). For the purpose of modesty as well as warmth, you will be fully draped (using a sheet or large towels) throughout your session, except for the area being worked on.

The room should be warm and quiet, with the lights dimmed and soft music is played if desired.
You will be asked to lie and relax on a treatment couch that is designed for stability and comfort. Different pillows or bolsters can be used to make your position more comfortable.

Aromatherapy treatment usually lasts one hour. This gives enough time to relax the body and address specific problems. A half-hour can be used as an introduction to massage or to address specific areas such as the back and shoulders.
After massage you should feel relaxed.

BENEFITS

Aromatherapy treatments have both physiological and psychological effects. The combination of massage and the medicinal and therapeutic qualities of the essential oils (molecules both inhaled [aroma] and absorbed through the skin) can soothe, revitalise, uplift the spirit, encourage positive thinking and boost the immune system enabling the body to heal itself.

Aromatherapy is suitable for all ages. After completing a course of Aromatherapy for a specific condition, many people find it beneficial to continue with regular treatments in order to maintain health and well-being.
For certain medical conditions the application of Aromatherapy as complementary to the regular treatments will need to be approved by your GP or other health practitioner.
