Guild Practice Dental Surgery

For three days I suffered with a soul destroying toothache that just wouldn't end, so on the third day I was at my wits end and went to get it seen to. After trying the emergency dentist in two hospitals I had the Guild Practice recommended to me by a colleague from work.

I went in and was greeted by a lovely receptionist who could see my plight straight away. I explained my situation (at this point i must have look like a mad man) and was given an appointment straight away due to a cancellation.

I was seen to by Heidi who took her time explaining all the options that were available to me and after a quick X-ray it was decided my tooth needed to go. Every effort was made to make sure I felt nothing and I was talked through every part of the extraction.

When all was said and done, I literally cheered and was finally free from the constant throbbing that had consumed my life. Service and care was exceptional and I even got a phone call the following day to see how I was feeling.

10/10. Would recommend to anyone.

I've been a patient of the Practice for as long as I can remember and have never once had a bad experience. This week I've gotten the opportunity to do some work experience with the Guild team and have felt so welcomed and included from the moment I stepped in the door, and haven't had a dull moment. From observing different appointments with patients, I can say these are the most skilled and enthusiastic dentists I've seen, and the rest of the staff are just brilliant. They deserve these 5 stars and more!

Perhaps the best thing about Heidi's approach is that she told me that my teeth aren't that bad! This was encouraging. She made it clear what work I needed and as part of a whole programme. Dentists sometimes, in my experience, offer expensive treatments in isolation, think veneers! She even went to the trouble to recommend a colleague in England.

I went to see Peter @ The Guild Practice last year on the recommendation of my dad, plus I wanted a second opinion to avoid a tooth extraction. Excellent experience - from the lovely, pleasant, extremely courteous receptionists to the consummate professionalism of my Dentist; Peter Stevenson. He has a very pleasant, friendly manner, explained everything in layman's terms and totally put me at my ease. Obviously knows his field of expertise inside out and is wonderful at relaxing you. I trust Peter's judgement 100%. Not only saved my tooth but has went on to get the rest of my teeth in order. I also visit Rita, my very own Dental Hygienist!! Great experience having your teeth thoroughly cleaned by a professional. I'm at a stage in my life where I do not want to lose any teeth, I want them kept. I'm delighted to be a patient at The Guild Practice and would thoroughly recommend them, especially if you have a fear of dentists.

During the past ten years I have significantly worn down several teeth due to excessive grinding while sleeping. The dentists I had previous consultations with had suggested a bite guard to prevent further damage, while offering limited suggestions regarding possible restoration treatments. I discovered The Guild Practice website during a google search and read about composite bonding. I met with Peter Stevenson for an initial consultation. He explained the procedure in detail and was extremely positive about the proposed treatment plan. The end result was extremely impressive. The composite bonded teeth appeared entirely natural. I would sincerely recommend the treatment to anyone who it is suited to. The procedure is well explained on The Guild Practice website. Additionally, I also had two wisdom teeth removed and a new crown fitted. I was completely satisfied with all treatments. I found all members of staff to be professional, courteous, and conscientious at all times.
