Quicksilver Weekend 700 with Excellent Spec
This Quicksilver 700 Weekend is a boat in which you can broaden your horizons without breaking the bank.
Her economical VW 150HP Diesel is very economical to run whilst still providing a good turn of speed for outrunning weather or getting home in a hurry when needs be.
... And, although she is badged as a 7m boat (and small enough to put on a trailer) she feels like a much bigger boat when aboard. Whether you’re looking for a spacious day fishing boat or a proper family cruiser for long weekends on the water this boat is worth a close look.
She has a huge aft cockpit (with camper covers), a very spacious saloon, useable galley (with gas hob, sink and fridge), enclosed heads compartment and a full 5 berths in the cabin. Which makes her a very comfortable cruising boat.
This example also has a fantastic spec, including bow thruster, anchor windlass, shorepower system, GPS chartplotter / fishfinder, vhf, twin battery system, teak decks, etc, etc.
The boat has been well cared for with a substantial history file. She presents in really nice condition and is ready to go to the water.

Excellent Starter Boat Package…
This 2005 Glastron SX 175 bowrider is a great starter boat package, complete with covers, UK road trailer, and the economical Volvo Penta 3.0L motor.

Condition, Condition, Condition…
If you’re familiar with GulfStream Boat Sales, you’ll know that I am extremely wary of older boats – because I know how much of a nightmare they can be. If I can’t be totally sure that I’m not selling someone a boatload of trouble then I will not get involved. Full stop.
Having said that, this Sea Ray 210 bowrider meets my high standards and more! With only 250 hours on the clock and the same owner for the last 16 years, and having been servic...ed by my regular engineer, I’ve known this boat for years. I know how well it has been looked after and I know that it has been kept in tip-top shape, regardless of cost.
Being a Sea Ray we also know that she was seriously well built to start with. This thing is a high-end bowrider and was the business when she launched in 2000.
The Sea Ray 210 Signature is a lovely 21ft bowrider with stylish lines and a big boat feel. It’s rated to carry a full complement of 10 people, plus her deep-v hull (21 degree transom deadrise) means that she handles great in choppy water. Her 5.0L V8 Fuel Injected motor also delivers effortless and fuel efficient performance, whether you’re pulling water skiers or just cruising with a full load of friends and family onboard.
The boat is in completely original and untarnished condition. Virtually everything works perfectly, down to the original stereo. The gel coat is in great shape and has a lustre like she just let the factory. The condition of this boat really would put many boats half it’s age to shame…
The boat has been meticulously maintained. Serviced annually, she has had all the major service items taken care of in recent years, including the sterndrive bellows, gimbal bearing, water pump impeller, exhaust manifolds and ignition tune-up kit to name a few. She was serviced and winterised at the end of last year (2018) and hasn’t been used since, so she is ready to go for the 2019 season.
As I’m sure you know, if you are looking at boats of around 10 years old or more, then the actual age quickly becomes irrelevant… It’s all about condition!

Every time that I get a trailerable diesel sports cruiser on my books it sells faster than you can shake a stick at it! Demand for them is fantastic and it’s really pretty easy to see why. They work so well as either a step-up from a sportsboat or as a step down from something bigger and more difficult to manage. They provide genuinely comfortable accommodation for weekends on board, while still retaining sporty performance, all in a package that you can tow home at the end o...f the season if you wish.
Off the breed in general, the Monterey brand is particularly desirable. People love them for their top-notch build quality, luxurious finish and striking looks. This 2004 265 cruiser is one step up from their entry level 250 model and you really notice that extra couple of feet onboard. At almost 27ft long and with it’s forward facing radar arch she has striking looks and a genuine ‘big boat’ appeal, and sea keeping. But the beauty of it is that at 8’06″ wide and under 3 tonne she is still trailerable. I reckon there 4 big reasons to buy this boat.

It’s Diesel; so the fuel economy and reliability are excellent. The big Yanmar 6 cylinder motor is not only bulletproof in terms of reliability but with 315HP on tap she gets up on the plane with ease and powers to a top speed well over 30 knots. It looks the part! With the rich black gel coat and forward facing radar arch this is a visually impressive boat that looks bang up to date. And with the gel coat on this boat having a factory fresh shine, she could easily pass for a few years old.
It’s the right size to be a genuine all rounder – with cabin accommodation that you can actually use (with 4 comfortable berths & a stand up heads compartment) and great socialising space on deck it’s a fantastic boat for day use and extended overnight trips alike.
It’s big enough to be very capable in the sort of conditions we’re used to around the coastal waters of the UK and Ireland. With a CE category B rating (for offshore use) you can be sure that it’ll keep you and your family safe.

As-New’ Asis 5.1m RIB – Commissioned in 2017 and Not Even Run In!
Several years ago it wasn’t that uncommon to find a 5 or 6 year old boat, still in the shrink wrapping, having never found a new home after the crash of 2009/2010. This Asis rib however sets the new record for ‘new, old stock’. It was built in 2009 but didn’t actually sell until 2017, believe it or not!
The benefit to you is that this boat now presents in ‘as new’ condition but for around half of what it would ...cost to buy a new version!
This Asis 5.1m rib and Suzuki 80HP motor were built in 2009, however the package was only commissioned and sold to her one and only owner in January 2017. At that time the owner also purchased a brand new Indespension Roller Coaster trailer. Since then the boat has been very sparingly used (with less than 30 hours on the clock), it has never been kept in the water, and it has been very carefully looked after by her discerning owner.
If you’re not familiar with the Asis brand please check them out online. Built in Dubai, they are known for building high quality ribs with plenty of commercial and military clients. This 5.1m model is still in their current line up and it’s an extremely impressive boat. The hull is rated to carry 6 people plus gear and will actually take up to a 120HP motor – demonstrating just how robust this boat is.
With the 80HP motor, the performance is effortless, with lots of power for pulling skiers and water toys. But what’s even more impressive for me is that the boat doesn’t feel over-powered even with such a big motor on the back. It hops on plane quickly, it keeps the nose down (even with only a helmsman on board) handles like it’s on rails and with hydraulic steering and super smooth side-mount controls it can be driven enthusiastically with only the lightest effort at the helm.
It feels like a much bigger boat on the water than it’s size would suggest, and that’s exactly what you want from a little sporty family rib.
The excellent build quality extends to lots of impressive design touches, like the under-floor 108L fuel tank, in-floor ski locker and solid helm console. But there’s just too much to list here… You’d be better off watching our video review to get all the details.
