Our 'House to Home' project continues this December and we would love you to be part of it! 👍
For this project in partnership with Extern Charity, we need a few handy volunteers to help make a house a home for the most vulnerable in our community. Tasks will include preparation work and painting.
Are you free on Friday 7th or Saturday 8th December between 09:30am – 04:30pm?
... To book your place get in touch with us now: email info@habitatni.co.uk or call us on 028 92 635 635.

Natural disasters affect about 188 million people every year.
When disaster strikes, people lose their homes. When disaster strikes without proper land laws in place, people lose their homes and their ability to recover.
Habitat's Build Solid Ground campaign advocates for disaster resilience, allowing communities to be better equipped to cope with the increasing impacts of extreme weather patterns.

“As they grow up in a good environment, they will follow the example of owning their own home and keeping their family together.”
Breanne's family now have a Habitat home, where she and her brothers can sleep, study and grow safely. They no longer have to worry about leaky roofs or doors that don't lock.
This #GivingTuesday, we want you to give what you can, whether that's a regular gift, or a one-off donation. Every donation changes lives.

"Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough."
This year, and every year, we are so thankful for the support of our friends in the U.S and wish all those celebrating today all the love and joy of Thanksgiving.
Savoeun's family lived for 13 years in a riverside slum in a home constructed of palm leaves. Now she and her 8 children live in a Habitat home in Cambodia, she says Habitat has provided her family with security, easy access to school for her youngest children and access to electricity.
You can support this life-changing work that goes on everyday and help families like Savoeun's by becoming a Regular Giver today: https://bit.ly/2Em84rh

On #WorldToiletDay we are thankful for the Habitat projects across the world that are providing safe and sanitary toilets to those most in need.
Proper sanitation and basic hygiene training result in improved health for families and are key to restoring dignity.

"It is more than a home- it is the strengthening of the community, the empowerment of women, the inspiring of children, self-help, increased security, the basics like somewhere private to go to the toilet, a personal space, somewhere to study or clear your head."

Wonderful organisation --- really enjoyed volunteering with them
Very impressed by the Ballymena store and the very friendly staff. Great work you are doing folks. Thanks.
Such a great organization. Always at the heart of the community; in Northern Ireland and everywhere.
I'd encourage anyway to head away with Habitat. I Had a rewarding time from start to finish and would love to experience it all again.
Amazing life changing! I'll never 4get!
