Skinners Bakery is a wonderful, long standing Holywood institution, where generations of families have loved all the goodies on offer in their fabulous home bakery. They very kindly donated all the food for our visiting artists on the Friday night of Harmony Live Holywood so thanks Valerie & Wilson, it’s very much appreciated.

The Harmony Live Holywood made a huge amount of progress this year. We are growing organically & ‘making friends & influencing people’ each year & this success is down to pure hard work & dedication from all our community volunteers. People like Ray Alexander, who organised our Busking competition at the Holywood Golf Club in conjunction with event sponsor Forestside’s Lee Cutler thanks guys, we couldn’t have done it without you. If you’d like to get involved (in any capacit...y) please get in touch, you might just enjoy yourself. #forcommunitybycommunity #hl18.

Denman Brush are a local North Down company with a huge heritage & are one of Northern Ireland’s biggest exporters; so a huge thank you for supporting our Harmony Live Holywood this year, it’s much appreciated.

This is just way too good, not to share again & again.

Have you seen the official Harmony Live video yet? A truly wonderful weekend & a lot of very happy people. Thank you once again Richard Sheridan for your great videography & dropping everything to do our video.

Gary McCalmont is an absolute legend. On the festival weekend, nothing was too much bother for Gary as he got the bar set up & made sure that all our gig goers were looked after efficiently & with great courtesy. Cheers Gary, thanks for all your great customer service, hard graft & your big smile.

Community means everything. A huge thank you to the lovely Sam & Abbey from Koi restaurant in Holywood who gave the whole Harmony Festival committee their gracious hospitality (all for free as a thank you), beautiful food by beautiful people, thanks guys.

Thank you to Templeton Robinson Estate Agents for your Harmony Live Holywood sponsorship. Local business help & support is vital for our community festival to survive & prosper. Our director Mari with singer songwriter Joshua Burnside when he visited Holywood recently.

Forestside Shopping Centre isn’t just any old shopping centre (apart from being fully occupied), they actually care about community & centre manager Lee Cutler is very pro active when it comes to promoting young musical talent & youth showcases in the shopping centre. For this year’s Harmony Live, Forestside provided £1000 in prize money for a busking competition, the Playbus & the face painting at the Sunday Funday. So thank you guys, your generous help & true community spirit are very much appreciated.

A massive shoutout to another Holywood hero, Homebird Cafe’s owner Rachel Elliott has been so supportive of our community festival, with both sponsorship (one of the first to offer help) and as an outlet for tickets. Rachel also offered up her premises to accommodate committee meetings in the evenings. All of this kindness goes straight into benefitting our community since we are all unpaid volunteers. Harmony salutes you Rachel, thank you from Mari (Founder/Director of registered charity "Holywood Harmony") and from our wonderful team/committee :-) #bringingbusinesstoholywood #lookaftereachother #forcommunitybycommunity #supportlocalbusiness

We’ve made a lot of friends this year & influenced a lot of people, but it wouldn’t have been possible without our sponsors Hop House 13 #wirefox group Ards and North Down Borough Council

Guys it's been emotional, this year's Harmony Live Holywood has been a thing of great beauty, our small town played host to what can only be described as world class live music & showman(and lady) ship. The Boomtown Rats exalted & thrilled us, Reef & Toploader had us dancing our socks off & Ryan McMullan had us all eating out of the palm of his hand. If you were here, have a look to see if you can spot yourself, tag your chums & help spread the word. If you weren't here, ple...ase watch & get a feel for what's going on in your town, Harmony because Holywood is a harmonious community, where people are respectful of each other's differences. Massive thanks to our wonderful sponsors Hop House 13 and #WireFox, we couldnt have done it without you and a big shout out to Ards and North Down Borough Council for their funding, please help us to make our community festival become bigger and better. Big love to our videographer Richard Sheridan who literally rescheduled his whole diary to make this video, when another outfit let us down. Thanks to @Reef for giving us permission to use this live recording as the backdrop to our wonderful weekend. Harmony Live was wonderful this year, we delivered what can only be described as world class entertainment to our small town, with the help of our wonderful sponsors, small band of volunteers & dedicated committee of community volunteers, BUT the reality is we need more help. So to the wider business community, we ask for financial or donation of skills & to everyone else we ask you to remember that the festival is on the 1st weekend of June each year, invite your friends to come & enjoy the events & please like our page & tag & share our content. Thank you all in advance.

Looks like Harmony Live was a bit of a bargain then? Thank you Ivan Cousins who sent us this photo, thank you all for the wonderful support & community spirit that everyone has shown us & give yourselves all a big pat on the back. #hl18 #forcommunitybycommunity

We’re hearing lots of lovely feedback from the local Holywood businesses. Frisky Bear Holywood Betty’s PubKitchen, The Stokers Halt - Holywood, Co Down all gave us 10/10 on the acts Mari organised for them & a big upsurge in business during the festival. Hearing from lots of you local Air BnB guys that a lot of the visiting 300 members of The Boomtown Rats English fan club (& the Germans, Dutch, Swedish etc) all stayed with. The Boomtown Rats dined in Fontana Toploader ate... in one of the cafes (not sure which one, but please tell us) Jack from Reef apparently is friendly with Graham & Mandy Bingham proprietors of Solstice, Choice Cabs reported a big increase in business with fares all over the country (& the lovely Elaine fixing up a Dutch guy with a Rats ticket), the guy who does the Rats social media was staying in Rayanne House Boutique Accommodation and Restaurant, Anna from NOBLE., reported that they were buzzing, all the wonderful stories filtering back about how much you all enjoyed the Sunday Funday & the list of stories goes on & on (& we’d love to hear more). So much positivity, so much community spirit, so please folks keep on spreading the word, remember the 1st weekend in June, invite your friends & tell everyone we’re a community festival, ran by community volunteers. NEEDING HELP PLEASE. Would any nice man with a van (or trailer) please help Marie Nancarrow and myself Mari Jackson to lift a few items of furniture from the room at the Rugby Club tomorrow around 9/9.30am and bring them back down the High St, to Jackies Yard? This is voluntary charitable work for our festival and Jackies Yard lent the items to us for free, but we've no transport to return them. Should only take a half hour. Please tag any volunteer who might help us or get in touch. Thank you :-)
