Helen Bullock Mc Farland Description
My work is as much influenced by the landscape of my homeland on a working farm in County Tyrone as by the contrasting wild landscape of County Donegal. I believe I have a fresh contemporary approach to landscapes reinterpreting familiar features in colour and form featuring rich surface treatment and strong brushwork.
I studied at the University of the West of England where I obtained her BA(hons) in 1984. Since then I have exhibited my work widely over the past number of years and work has become part of many private and public collections at home and abroad. I work in a variety of media such as oils, gouache and watercolour, and I'minspired by the natural and rural surroundings of the Northern Ireland.
