Winner of two BBC Folk Awards, Dublin-born traditional singer and bouzouki player Daoirí Farrell has quickly become one of the most important singers in Irish folk music. With his powerful and distinctive voice, it is no wonder he has been championed by the likes of Christy Moore and Donal Lunny.

The Máirtín O’Connor Band is a musical partnership of accordionist Máirtín O’Connor, fiddler and banjo player Cathal Hayden and guitarist and singer Séamie O’Dowd, sparking with genuine chemistry and an admirable sense of adventure. Adeptly blending traditional melodies with a number of O’Connor’s inimitable compositions, the band’s bright sound, has been carefully sculpted over an eighteen-year period of countless touring miles. Anchored by Galway man O’Connor’s dazzling button accordion, the astounding skill and virtuosity of all three musicians, manifests itself on their numerous recordings to date.
