Not quite what we were hoping for the first day of spring! Holohans at the Barge will be closed again this evening due to the weather, but don’t worry, Holohan’s Pantry has the heat on full blast and live music this evening! #beastfromtheeast #stormemma

Yesterday Saturday 19th August was a special day as it was my sons birthday (33 😍) so we booked the barge it had come recommended and I have to say we were by no means disappointed!! Immediately we were taken to our pre booked table and from there the service was exceptional! The choice of menu was superb and catered for each of our 4 party with different tastes as the food was amazing clear plates all round. Please pass on our thanks to your staff and chefs for making this special outing exceptional and one last comment it was lovely sitting on the barge with its views all around. We will be back. What a cool, quirky place to eat. The staff were lovely, friendly and relaxed. The food was amazing. I had seen reviews on the Boxty, so said I'd give it a go. Right choice! It was lovely. The only down side was that we had a bit of a wait for our food. Other than that it was a great evening out. We'll definitely be back :)

We saw a great review for Holohans in Sunday Life and find they don't hold back with their comments, so decided next time we were asked where we wanted vouchers for this was going to be our choice.

We were not disappointed, food was delicious, waitress very cheery and attendful, just the right space of time between courses not to feel rushed.

We will return.

We managed to book in last minute for a late evening meal. The staff were really friendly and informative, super relaxed and romantic atmosphere and the food was incredible. Best steak in Belfast! Thanks for a wonderful evening will def be back!

With desert of baked alsaka and lemon desert.

Prawns were amazing and my husband was delighted with his steak.

Taken along by my brother who is currently working in Belfast & had a wonderful meal in this great quirky place. The rather tatty outside belies the inside, which is comfortable and serves amazing food by a friendly and knowledgeable staff. Tried the Boxty which I had never heard of on recommendation & it was delicious. When my baked Alaska came out half browned because the chef had run out of gas in his blowtorch, it was explained and I was offered an alternative or have it as it was at no charge, which I did and it was still yummy! Very much hope to visit again in the future but meanwhile highly recommend it to anyone looking for a small quirky place with great food, friendly staff & attention to detail.

Simply superb. Great atmosphere, excellent service and even more importantly sensational food and wine list. Don’t question it, book to go now.

My husband and I booked here at the last minute for lunch on NYE- wow! There was a set menu; 3 courses for £25. What a great deal.. the food was absolutely gorgeous and the portions were huge. The staff were lovely and friendly, an extensive drinks list and the location fab! Thanks guys, will definitely be back!

I had heard about this on a YouTube video and wanted to try the Boxty, they did not disappoint. Beautiful little Barge on the water. Excellent service and drinks. One of our favorite meals while in the UK.

Had a lovely lunch yesterday to celebrate my husband’s birthday. A hidden gem with friendly and welcoming staff and a relaxed ambiance. The food was amazing and we had a fabulous meal. Already looking forward to my next visit!!

Great food, services and value. The resturtant may not look 5stars from outside, but is lovely inside and you can’t beat the food. Amazing!

Dinner here last night. Unusual setting but cosy and intimate. Service first class, staff both friendly and helpful in providing a more personal touch. Food was superb and packed with flavour. Wonderful experience that we would highly recommend.

Also the chefs who made us feel very special with a lovely complimentary Anniversary dessert. Thank you guys, we had a great night. Can’t wait to go back. Such a treat.
