Are you Future Leader?
Holywell Trust is recruiting participants for the next phase of the Future Leaders project. The Future Leaders project, which was piloted last year, will create a new cohort of community leaders in the North West.
We are recruiting 20 people to take part in a year-long programme that will include: Residential opportunities – focused programme visits and sessions to include a visit to Dublin; Training programme – a 20-session programme examining a range... of issues from Good Relations to Movement Building (final programme to be agreed with the programme participants); Community projects – 4 community projects will be led up and delivered by participants.
We are recruiting people who - have an interest in supporting community activity in the city; are from all community backgrounds and willing to work collaboratively to improve the lives of local people; are are not members or representatives of political parties are aged between 18 and 35; are able to participate in at least 90% of programme activities.
Participation in the project is a voluntary commitment. Reflecting this, the course will be participant-led, engaging and challenging. Our aim to do connect local people who will form the backbone of the sector for years to come.
There will be an information session, which is open for all to attend, about the Future Leaders programme on: Monday 2nd March 2020 at 2.00pm in Holywell – DiverseCity Community Partnership, Bishop Street.
If you would like to apply follow this link - https://forms.gle/9mGxVzMt4NY1tLqa6 - to the online application or call to reception at the Holywell building to collect a form.
The deadline for the receipt of applications/nominations is 5.00pm on Friday 6th March.
We also welcome nominations from community organisations through https://forms.gle/nN57VYSam3D9FkVC6

A huge thank you to all who came along to our Anne Tracey Family & Friends fundraiser for Holywell Trust on 12th January. A great night was once again had by all.
We are indebted to Anne Tracey for performing, organising and encouraging others to take part (ably supported of course by Eamon Baker).
Thanks to all of the performers on the night Roy Arbuckle, Maura Johnston, Limavady Piano Services - Concert Tuning Sales & Hire by Piano Specialist, Martin Sweeney, Damian Gorm...an, Tom Byrne, Kieran Duffy, Eddie O'Donnell, Michael Corey and Ken Edwards (hope we didn't miss anyone!!). Thanks too must go to Robert Arbuckle for his technical expertise.
We also held a successful draw which was made possible through the very generous support of a range of local businesses - SmartSwag, Syenna Hair & Beauty, Hidden City Cafe, Maldron Hotel Londonderry, Bishop's Gate Hotel Derry, The Quirky Raven Coffee Co. and Irene Hunter. Thank you all for your support.
We were delighted that £821 was raised on the night. Thanks again to all involved!
