As the end of another school year with these amazing humans draws closer, what a fantastic way to round off the penultimate week.
Geology studies along our beautiful (if not a tad soggy) coastline, camping at the school complete with games, a bbq, fire and smores, and finishing off our class project by spending the morning collecting litter in Ballymenoch Park and Seapark Beach.
So what was the class project? During our studies of the birth of Islam, the class were moved by t...he idea of 5 pillars and decided to come up with their own. They have challenged themselves, helped without seeking reward, thanked those people who go unnoticed, given to charity either through time or donation and helped to make their community cleaner. I am so proud of all of them. What an amazing, busy year it has been and we're not even done yet!
Susan (Class 6 teacher) P. S. We had two famous faces tag along, does anyone recognise them?

Programme with backstory. Not for the faint of heart. If you thought GOT was bad, it is because you hadn’t read Sophocles.

Class 6 have arrived at their last main lesson block of the year, September seems so long ago. This week we are investigating the natural phenomenon of magnetism. We have spent time playing with and feeling its forces, and today we have observed it. It is a piece of art in itself. It's incredible the amount of questions that have been generated in three days, this is what learning is all about.
