I loved my experience at this museum.
Reconstitution of past houses, shops makes you feel as if you were there !
The level of information gives a good overview of the wealthy history of the island !

This place is amazing. On their details it says allow 2 hours, we allowed this but needed to go back again to have seen all we wanted to. It is set out in a way that leads you through the history without being boring. Exceptionally interesting place. Staff greet you with a smile.

Great museum! Family oriented, lots to read and see, and they give a lot of information. Some of the videos were a bit dated, but they weren't bad. If you're in Peele you really should go here to learn about the history. Bring the kids!

This was an amazing place. Almost every room is set up to give you a real feel (and smell!) of how the island has evolved. Plenty to see on all 3 floors. We used our National Trust cards to get free entry too

The history of the Isle of Man in a nutshell. The Viking longboat and Celtic wooden roundhouse are highlights. Showing its age in places and would benefit from an update but an interesting way to spend an hour. Entrance price £30 for 2 adults and 2 children which is a bit pricey (free to National Trust members). Good shop and cafe. Save for a rainy day...

Really interesting, interactive museum. Very child friendly.

Very interesting ways of telling the story of the Isle of Man starting from the ancient celts, then the norse raiders and settlers, and a large section on the 17th-20th century maritime history of the island.

User

Rather pricey for the time you will spend there which is around 1 hour, the celts roundhouse has been a fond memory ever since childhood so its an experience they will not forget, the viking longboat is a great addition too! Car park to the rear, pram and wheelchair friendly too

Very well done museum taking you through Manx heritage. Must see attraction when in Peel.
