Food cold and bland service slow staff really ignorant. Won’t be back!

Lovely boozer. Lots on offer. Food in restaurant, sports on TV, pool, outdoor area, quieter seating area. Friendly staff. Good Guinness.

We held our wedding here and the staff were fantastic, the photographs look beautiful in their lovely rustic setting, food was beautiful and couldn't fault a single thing! They made it all a stress free and very relaxed day! I am so glad we held our wedding here, we loved every minute!

Disappointed that they have stopped doing bar food! Even though the signs outside state that they do??
You now have to go to their restaurant if you want food! Pity as food was good and its sometimes nice eating in a casual bar setting instead of restaurant.

I was driving a coach yesterday, and unfortunately had no sterling, however the Lady behind the bar stood me a coffee on the house. A lovely hostelry impeccably clean and in a beautiful location. I observed the food being served if presentation is anything to go by
it was certainly delicious. Charming courteous staff I will be back! ( with sterling 😀). Thanks once again.

Attended a wedding here in September 2016. The food and service was great. We had a great view of the Mourne mountains from the dinner table. Staff even helped to organise taxis for those who weren't staying. The photos in the beer and hidden garden added to the atmosphere. Would recommend to try this place out.

Love McCanns, got married here and staff couldn't do enough for us. The accommodation was superb also! We go back any time we're in Newcastle for lunch and always enjoy it! Brilliant spot for a rest after climbing the Mournes also.
