Fear of Failure can keep you from taking the risk and leave you paralysed into not taking action at all. It can leave you over analysing the situation until you end up taking no action whatsoever.
... Fear of Failure is a good thing though, you should be afraid to fail because it will keep you training hard and stop you from cutting corners.
What you should be more afraid of is sitting on the side lines doing nothing and waking up in 5 years and being no closer to your goal ... Having made no progress and being stagnant. Thatās the real horror! Thatās what you really need to be Afraid of. So donāt fear Failure - Embrace it and learn from it. Take the risk, and take the first step to action today!
F.U.E.L
Food should be used to feed your body not your emotions! Obesity, Diabetes and cardiovascular disease are all caused by our choice of fuel, both in the amount of it and the quality of it.
And you donāt need to look back 10,000 years to find out how you should be eating either, 100 years ago is enough! 90% Of the Diet was Meat, Fish, Vegetables, Fruit, Home made breads and cheeses.
More importantly though, it wasnāt readily available meaning you maybe had to FAST for a while before your next meal. So think about how youāre fuelling your engine and if you do have the occasional treat make sure youāve earned it.
F.A.I.R
This is probably the main one that holds people back because letās face it, weāve grown up with a sense of Entitlement whether you want to admit it or not.

Complaining about Whatās āNot Fairā is ultimately the thing that is actually holding you back.
Complaining about whatās not fair is a lot like missing a flight. You can bitch and moan and cry about it but at the end of the day itās not gonna change anything for you and itās not gonna get you home! Youād actually Be quicker putting one foot in front of the other and walking!!! It might take you 2 years but it would get you home faster than your complaints about how life isnāt Fair.
Life isnāt gonna be fair, and the reason itās not fair is because when shit doesnāt go your way, thatās when your character is built! All the strengths that you develop and pass on to the next generation will come from the shit thatās not FAIR!!! Theyāre gonna come from the difficulties that you endured and the accomplishments you achieved from WORKING to EARN the things that you deserve.

2ļøā£A variation of prone swimmers - Hitting Internal and external rotation of the shoulder Joint, but again strengthening throughout.
3ļøā£Strengthening hip abduction ( Tip ) Make sure to Keep the glutes tight, no movement from the lower back ( Imagine pulling your back pockets towards the ground )

The chances are the next day youāll realise that you were just taking the path to least resistance and by ājust doing itā anyway youāll realise that you were just having a moment of weakness ...

Have you ever walked into the gym and thought .... āWhat the hell am I doing here?ā With no clear direction for the session? With no clue how anything works? And a bit unsure if youāre doing the exercises correctly?
Sure you have! Everyone, at some point in their life has been like a rabbit in the head lights in the gym environment. Even the guys and girls in peak physical condition had to start somewhere, so donāt sweat it.
... If this is you though, we wanna help. Firstly by Teaching you the fundamental human movements. These are the basics and The basics are always a good place to start.
We categorise these into 7 Fundamentals - Squat, Hinge, Push, Pull, Lunge, Rotation ( Anti rotation too ) & Gait.
As with anything in life, once you master the basics then the more complex stuff comes later. Complexity in human movement usually gets reserved for competitive sports but the smart ones apply it on the gym floor too! ( Weāll get to that )
For now though, If youāre a beginner then you need to learn the rules so hereās some of the exercises you have to play with. ā”ļøSquat - Goblet, Front Sqt, High/Low Bar, Zercher, overhead, Bodyweight, box squat. ā”ļøHinge - Deadlift, RDL, good morning, Kettlebell swing, Hip thrust. ā”ļøPush - Bench, shoulder press, Dips, Push Ups, incline press, close grip bench, straight arm. ā”ļøPull - Pull up, chin up, Pendlay Row, Inverted row, Curls, Chest supported DB Row, straight arm. ā”ļøLunge - Barbell, DB, walking Lunge, Rear foot/Front Foot elevated, Overhead. ā”ļøRotation/Anti - Basic rolling patterns, bear crawls, single arm/leg planks. ā”ļøGait - Run, Walk, March, carry.
One of each fundamental can go into a single workout. So for example it might look like this.ā¬ļøā¬ļøā¬ļø Front squat 5x5 DB Lunge 5x10 Push ups/TRX Row 8/8 OTM 8 Mins Bear crawl/Carried Walk/10 Swings 8 Min AMRAP.
Once youāve mastered the basics now itās time to start piecing 2 or 3 together, for instance. ā”ļøOff set ( One arm ) Kettlebell Front squat = Squat & Anti rotation. ā”ļøTurkish get up = Rotation/Anti rotation, Hinge, Lunge, straight arm push. ā”ļøRenegade row = Anti rotation, Horizontal Pull. ā”ļøProwler Push = Straight arm push, Gait.
The possibilities become endless, but it starts with understanding the basics. At Hybrid we add complexity to on the gym floor by playing games ( Essentially what sport is ). Get back ups, frogger tag and various others. So the next time you find yourself unsure just go back to basics, Move well then build some work capacity.

Topclass gym. The staff are without dout the best in the business and ones got a really good looking brother that loves walks on the beach and cozy nights in ļæ½ just saying

One of the top places in Belfast to train in. This is a gym where the coaches actually talk the talk and walk the walk. Far to many gyms these days are filled with 2 week PTs. Hybrid is a rarity in that its instructors know exactly what they are talking about.
IMO Michael is the best there
Most gyms get rated on their facility and services, but what sets Hybrid apart from everyone is the quality of people who actually go to the gym and also the fact that the coaches and owners are genuinely out to make a positive difference to the industry.
I've been going to this gym for nearly 2 years and they've coached me through 2 competitions. The coaches are motivating and really friendly.
I went for an awesome session for the first time yesterday. The instructors are friendly, helpful and very well educated that want whatās best for their clients. I would highly recommend this gym.
I was bought a place on the new u in 42 plan by a friend for christmas I had been very ill for 9months and had completley lost all my strength and motivation and had put on alot of weight . Now I spent the first few weeks of the programme cursing my friend and the staff at hybrid. But that did not put them off no matter how bad form I was in they changed my mental attitude and after 6 weeks i was a different person not so grumpy and far more energetic and had lost weight. I cant thank them enough.
I would reccomend them to anyone I did not feel intimidated at all going into the gym the way I would have in other gyms and having a shoulder injury the guys were able to give me specific excercises not to damage it.
I recently enrolled onto a Kettlebell course with Elite Fitness & Performance Academy Belfast, going solely on word of mouth to avoid a turn up and pass situation. From I enroled, both Paddy Joe and Lenny have been putting me through hours of practice at Hybrid Fitness to get me up to speed. I have learned alot from these lads in the last few weeks and can not wait to for course to commence early February!!!
I love the community ethos hybrid encourages. Extremely knowledgeable trainers delivering results in such a genuine 'committed to you' manner!! Cannot recommend highly enough!
I hereby endorse this product. Six months ago I used to be a six stone weakling and guys used to kick sand in my face when I was at the beach. But no more! I signed up for the Hybrid fitness transformation programme and now I don't go to the beach, because it's the middle of winter!
I done a mentorship in hybrid a couple of months back. Can't recommend these guys enough! It was a great course and I was able to learn a lot from the sessions and got the opportunity to ask a lot of questions. It really helped my own coaching and development. Look forward to visiting the new facility when I get a chance.

I was bought a place on the new u in 42 plan by a friend for christmas I had been very ill for 9months and had completley lost all my strength and motivation and had put on alot of weight . Now I spent the first few weeks of the programme cursing my friend and the staff at hybrid. But that did not put them off no matter how bad form I was in they changed my mental attitude and after 6 weeks i was a different person not so grumpy and far more energetic and had lost weight. I cant thank them enough.
I would reccomend them to anyone I did not feel intimidated at all going into the gym the way I would have in other gyms and having a shoulder injury the guys were able to give me specific excercises not to damage it.
I recently enrolled onto a Kettlebell course with Elite Fitness & Performance Academy Belfast, going solely on word of mouth to avoid a turn up and pass situation. From I enroled, both Paddy Joe and Lenny have been putting me through hours of practice at Hybrid Fitness to get me up to speed. I have learned alot from these lads in the last few weeks and can not wait to for course to commence early February!!!
I love the community ethos hybrid encourages. Extremely knowledgeable trainers delivering results in such a genuine 'committed to you' manner!! Cannot recommend highly enough!
I hereby endorse this product. Six months ago I used to be a six stone weakling and guys used to kick sand in my face when I was at the beach. But no more! I signed up for the Hybrid fitness transformation programme and now I don't go to the beach, because it's the middle of winter!
I done a mentorship in hybrid a couple of months back. Can't recommend these guys enough! It was a great course and I was able to learn a lot from the sessions and got the opportunity to ask a lot of questions. It really helped my own coaching and development. Look forward to visiting the new facility when I get a chance.
Great team of instructors who know exactly what they are talking about and not just looking to make quick Ā£Ā£Ā£. Everything you need in a gym with great atmosphere and not intimating like other gyms. They have built a fantastic little community here and are always looking out for everyone.
Great gym to train in, plenty of craic in with the serious business. Lenny is the best there, great coach and always good for a spot.

Words canāt describe how amazing this place is! Iāve been coached here for just under a year and I could never look back now - the quality of coaching is second to none. Everyone chats away and is so supportive of one another.. You wonāt ever find a place like hybrid!
What a gym...definitely not your average commerical gym!!! Great atmosphere and amazing trainers who really know their stuff and have plenty of time for you! So glad Ive found Hybrid Fitness!!!

One of the top places in Belfast to train in. This is a gym where the coaches actually talk the talk and walk the walk. Far to many gyms these days are filled with 2 week PTs. Hybrid is a rarity in that its instructors know exactly what they are talking about.
IMO Michael is the best there
Most gyms get rated on their facility and services, but what sets Hybrid apart from everyone is the quality of people who actually go to the gym and also the fact that the coaches and owners are genuinely out to make a positive difference to the industry.
I've been going to this gym for nearly 2 years and they've coached me through 2 competitions. The coaches are motivating and really friendly.
I went for an awesome session for the first time yesterday. The instructors are friendly, helpful and very well educated that want whatās best for their clients. I would highly recommend this gym.
