Ian Newell Boat Building and Repair Ltd is an engineering company based alongside the slipway of Kilkeel Harbour Northern Ireland.
With access to three slipways with the capacity to cater for vessels up to 16. 5 metres in length. There is also access to berthing and areas to lift smaller vessels out of the water to facilitate repair. We can access mobile cranes capable of lifting up to 250 tonne. We also have access to a full range of both joinery and machine shop services.
Managing Director Ian Newell has over 35 years of hands on experience in the fabrication and engineering industry. In that time has built up a very diverse company capable of taking on projects both large and small. Over the years his company has successfully carried out a range of both new build and refurbishments to the Irish and Scottish fishing fleets.
We have a highly experienced workforce often working directly with customers to meet their needs.
Our welding team are all fully qualified and coded to BSEN 287-1: 2004 welding standard.
The workforce hold all the relevant safety certificates to work on or off site.
