Went last night for the first time and was delighted by the quality of the food and the service. The eny weeny waitress was too cute for words .Each course arrived promtly and piping hot .Too top it all my husband was super impressed and this doesn't happen much!! and loved the cocktails (he makes amazing ones himself and is a bit of a cocktail snob).Loved the buzzing atmosphere and will definitely be back �

Regular visitor of Il Pirata! Never get a bad meal & always a great atmosphere! Service is spot on too & staff are friendly but not overbearing! Never feel rushed out! One of the best in Ballyhack x

My daughter & her partner took me to I'll Pirate on Thurs night. We really enjoyed it. I ordered the sea bass but realised that it hadn't been filleted, which was the norm but I couldn't eat it full of sharp bones. Our waitress immediately ordered a replacement and fresh hot parmesan fries. She was extremely attentive, our cocktails were delicious and desserts were mouthwatering. A great night out in a bubbly atmosphere.
I won the meal for two competition at Christmas time and have just had a fabulous evening!! Food was great, service was great, atmosphere was great and will definitely recommend it!! We will be back! Thanks Il Pirata!! �
I had the seafood stew was delicious. My mum had a specially made meatball pasta and my daughter loved the off menu honeycombed ice cream. Staff were lovely also.
I don't get out much but just had the best meal here. The duck ragu, chocolate torte right down to the coffee... All absolutely delicious!!

Very enjoyable and very tasty dinner, but some of the wines are a wee bit overpriced and the dining room felt a bit stuffy on the night we went there. Apart from that, we had a great meal. Highly recommended.
Lovely food and great atmosphere. Only thing I would say is that staff could be more friendly.
Whilst the starter was good was very disappointed with the service during main course. Main arrived but if I had waited for side like 1 of my friends did it would have been stone cold. I had 1 mouthful of my main left when side arrived which was not worth eating, garlic & rosemary potatoes barely warm burnt and tasted awful. Sorry I won't be back.
Used to be awesome but they’ve gradually phased out the tapas/cichetti and what remains now as antipasti isn’t very exciting.
Food is not as good as it used to be. A more limited menu available. Ordered the beef arancini and parsnip arancini turned up... a typo on the menu was the explination. The walnut polenta starter was tastless and under seasoned. I had the prawn linguini main, which was claggy and dry. With the extensive choice of outlets in Balkyhack, I won't be rushing back... #dissapointing
Food OK. Good wine selection. Slightly intolerance waiter dressed a bit grubby. Final bill had an extra hundred charged. Three dishes missed from the order. There are better places to go.
Wasn't a great experience. Ordered a drink. Waited over 15 minutes for it... asked for it as I assume they had forgotten, then it finally arrived. Ordered dessert, the other two desserts arrived at the table. Twenty minutes later I was still waiting... had to ask... yet again they forgot.
Limited menu, food not great! A shame as place had a great atmosphere.
I went into Ilparata today for lunch and I was so disappointed. Now I used to go on a regular basis and thought I’d bring a friend this time, but I’m sorry I did. I think Tony O’Neill needs to have a word with his staff as I found them not very helpful at all and don’t listen to what the customer says to them. The lunch specials were poor so we chose from the main menu which was just OK. It was so disappointing to see what used to be such a lovely place to eat drop down in there service, do they just not care anymore. I’ve noticed that Ilparata don’t comment or like negative reviews and here we are as customers thinking that it can only help improve places for customers and staff. We’re always being told please tell us if something isn’t right, so here you are something wasn’t right.
