I was delighted, but a bit saddened, to receive this in the post this morning.
I'm gutted that we can't be together physically on May 9th, but we will share a special moment of togetherness by getting up at 5:30am & watch the sunrise. 🌞 #DarknessIntoLight #Covid19

Maolíosa McHugh MLA hit the nail on the head. I've never experienced such absurdity and frustration in all my life.
We're just in the middle of a global pandemic and we've got members of the Finance Committee wondering why the Dept didn't get emails on 30th & 31st March & playing games of "she said"/"he said." 😱😡

"Sinn Féin has long called for for all workers to be paid the Real Living Wage as a minimum standard of pay, and we back the calls made by USDAW in relation to retail workers receiving a living wage.
"A new conversation also needs to occur following this pandemic around the value of work and labour. Our economic recovery must ensure that those workers who had been perceived by some, as unskilled should never again short changed in terms of their pay and conditions and should be fully valued in their contribution to our economy and society."

Got this response from @simoncoveney regarding the discrimination of people from the north, working in the south, not being entitled to Pandemic Unemployment Payment.
Apparently people in that position are entitled to #UniversialCredit. Has anyone been successful in getting this?

I did the #run5donate5nominate5 after being nominated & did my nominating on Instagram. But because I know so many groups continue to do amazing work during this time, instead of picking 1 and donating £5, I picked 5 and donated £5 to each of them. #Covid_19 #HerosFund 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Budget Energy has just launched the Budget Energy Covid-19 Response Fund.
This is a dedicated £50,000 fund, put aside to help any customers that may find themselves struggling during these times. The funding will provide a one-time payment of £50 and will take the form of either a £50 credit to bill-pay customers or a £50 top up credit for keypad customers.

The Education Minister has outlined the process for students completing GCSE and A level qualifications in 2020.
This is for students taking examinations set by CCEA which provides the majority of examinations in the north - 87% of A levels and 98% of GCSEs.
