After much persuading by a fellow photographing buddy I have finally got round to creating my own photography page. Please feel free to share and comment.

I took up photography 'properly' as a hobby around 8 years ago when I bought my first DSLR (Nikon D40). Over the years I attempted to learn how to use the camera to my best ability but never really got the hang of manual mode.

Fast forward 7 years and my husband buys me an upgrade to a Nikon D3200 and I joined a local photography group and all of a sudden I find myself snapping away in manual mode on a regular basis. Not only that but I have found myself editing my photograph less and less and over the years I have learnt about composition and setting things up correctly.

Saying that I still make rookie errors every so often and anyone who tells you they don't is telling porkies. From forgetting to put the memory card back in my camera after downloading photo's (I now have a spare kept in my camera bag) to not checking battery power (also buy a spare and keep it charged) even just having the correct setting on the camera, we have all been there, done that.

The point is to get out and have fun with your camera as I try to do (body permitting). Its not always easy when you feel like you are falling apart.

I <3 PHOTOGRAPHY and have now passed the bug on to my son who has been bitten too. It's nice to have somebody to share your happy place with.
