La Mon Hotel & Country Club

Booked la Mon for my mum's birthday lunch for 12 family members. We had the most amazing day the staff were friendly, accommodating and went out of their way to make our day special . Everything from booking the lunch to the actual day I got lots of contact from la Mon to keep me informed on my booking our food was excellent and over all I would highly recommend !

Large, slightly worn and dated rooms. Decent restaurant, bar and conference rooms.
Super helpful staff on hand, I can’t complement them enough.

Food was nice. Staff were awful. There was a girl called Hannah who made it far too obvious that she didn't want to help, she just walked around with a moody look on her face the whole time and when we asked for her help she just started blankly at us. We had three courses and had to ask the staff to clear our table after every course because they didn't seem to want to actually to do their jobs. Would recommend going elsewhere.

I've not actually stayed overnight at this hotel, but after photographing a wedding recently, from what I've seen, the hotel looks really nice. I must say that the front of house staff were very welcoming, the restaurant staff were great, and the food was excellent! I did find one member of staff a little rude, but that was her problem, not mine, and let's be honest, every company has one. From what I've seen, I'd recommend! :)

The Sunday Carvery was great. A wide selection for all courses and the food tasted great. It was busy so there was a good atmosphere. The staff were polite and helpful. On Sunday they put on a bouncy castle for the kids. My kids also got their faces painted and balloon models!

I found the hotel staff to be warm and friendly. The hotel is located in beautiful scenery out in the countryside. Facilities are excellent.

Went for tea & scones in the morning. Scones were too crumbly and difficult to butter without falling apart. This is a minor niggle, the rest of our experience was top drawer. Staff are friendly and helpful and it is suitable for very young children - there is also a bouncy castle and other activities for the wee ones. Would recommend and I will be back again
