Just a quick reminder folks the clocks go back 1 hour in the small hours of tomorrow morning. For some this will mean an extra hour in bed... for others it’s will mean a bit more day light in the mornings but for our Volunteers no matter the time day or night we are ready to respond!!

Some of our team have just arrived back at base after attending the 999 Emergency Services Open Day at Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service Central Station today. A fun filled day for all involved including the many other 999 organisations/rescue teams who attended! We would like to extend thanks to Bangor Coastguard Rescue Team and NIFRS for asking us to attend today! Here is some of the best bits from today... #SARFamily

This year's 999 Open Day will be held at Central Fire, Station (6 Bankmore Street Belfast) on Saturday 27th October from 12.30-16.00hrs We are pleased to say we will be in attendance this Saturday. Why not bring your family and friends to this free event to see an exciting series of demonstrations and displays that will give you a flavour of the many Incidents and tasks that each of the services responds to on a regular basis.

On Friday several LSAR volunteers attended the Belfast City Council Tall Ship Awards. Our head of Flood, Ronnie accepted the award presented to Lagan Search & Rescue by Belfast Lord Mayor, Councillor Deirdre Hargey.

Cannot describe the hard work and dedication this group of volunteers put in to find my cousin in a 9 long week search, the most selfless, kind and without a doubt best people I have ever met in my life. We will never forget everything you done for us and will forever hold a place in our families hearts � thank yous for coming yesterday too, it meant a lot x
