Laragh Lodge Restaurant

Fresh, delicious food at a very reasonable price. We were most delighted to find that we could step out of the restaurant and directly onto the Glenariff Forest trails -- two gorgeous waterfalls with a 5-minute walk from the restaurant.

Great little restaurant in the middle of a forest with spectacular views outside. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Nice decor that fits in with the restaurant's tradition (this place has been opened since 19th century). They also offer vegetarian & vegan options. I recommend the wild mushroom rizotto in spicy sauce. It was delicious! If you've followed the waterfall trail and want to take a short tea/ coffe break or grab something to eat, make sure to stop by in Laragh Lodge...

Hidden treasure of the Glens. S birthday treat for my mother. Beautiful setting amazing views and great food at reasonable prices. Decor a little dated but fits in with the surroundings. Staff friendly and helpful and I think I will have to return.Will tell everyone about this place. Perfect for oversea visitors to show the beauty of Northern Ireland. Was in the Italian Alps recently and this reminded me of a similar setting for lunch - mountains obviously not quite as huge and not the same heat LOL. A must place to go for natives and visitors .

Beautiful and spectacular surroundings with great walks past lovely waterfalls. Very good staff, really good food, all three of us agreed on the food. Facilities good. My 6oz sirloin was the best I've ever been served, perfect soft texture. Prices for midday lunch very reasonable. We will be back.

Good food and service

Parked up outside and headed in to have a cup of tea and a scone before we headed off on the waterfall walk. The gentleman that served us could not have been more pleasant or accommodating. He made us feel very welcome. Warm scone with butter cream and jam delicious. Pot of tea for two which my daughter and I had 2 each! The pot still was not empty when we decided to leave. Fantastic value for money. Toilets are extremely clean. I have been here on 2 occasions now and both times I have felt the food and service is top class.

The experience was lovely - when on a road trip, but I would recommend the chefs go back to Belfast Metropolitan College for a NVQ Level 2 in professional cookery.
