Larne Childminder

Hi, my name is Jacki and I’m a fully Registered Childminder and NICMA member living in the Walnut Hollow area of Larne.

I am originally from Cairncastle, Ballygally, where I attended Primary School before going on to Larne Grammar School. I am a Mother of one – my son was born in December 2009. My husband Mark, is originally from Carmond Drive in Larne and is a Technical Operator in Brett Martin.

I am registered by the Northern Health and Social Care Trust and I am a member of the Northern Ireland Childminding Association. Childminders are registered to look after six children, however, I do not exceed four, including my own child, to ensure a high quality of care. This ensures so all children can develop to their full potential.

Play is very important to young children and I have a wide variety of toys and play materials, for example, bricks and construction toys encourage children to use their imagination as well as develop motor skills.
I also find children thoroughly stories, nursery rhymes and music, all helping with learning and co-ordination. I also have a Wii Games console with games to suit children of all ages.
