Words fail me but I will try. Jim and Leander Lodge B&B are a must stop for anyone travelling Ireland or just looking for a night stop over on your travels. It is perfectly situated in the countryside on Lough Killyfole with short hops to various villages and towns. Jim is probably the most hospitable person I have met in all my travels (and I have travelled half the world!!)

The birdlife and walk around the lough is amazing. Sitting out in the evening and watching the fish rise while the sun sets is an experience you will not forget. Then there is taking Chuckles the resident dog and greeter for a brisk early morning walk around the lough to build up an appetite for Jims famous breakfast if you are of a mind for that.

We then get on to the local population. You couldn't meet friendlier people. Highly recommended is Corranny Pub up the hill about 3 miles away with Liam and Angela to look after you. Now to get there you would need the services of a taxi if you are planning on a few pints. Roslea Taxis (028 6775 1245) owned and run by Mary and Gerry Connolly are top notch. Very friendly, willing to help you in anyway they can. I have never had a better service from any other company.

Last but not least is the legend of Fermanagh, Florence Creighton. This lady will amaze you with her stories of travelling the world and raising money for charity. She is also a font of knowledge about local history and Ireland in general.

To sum it up, Leander Lodge, Jim & Chuckles deserve more than 5 stars.

Stayed last night. Lovely welcome from Jim when we arrived. Lovely place to stay. Welcoming atmosphere, the dog even ran up the drive to meet as we drove in! Such a sweetie. Breakfast was out of this world. Home made soda bread too! Will definitely be back
