As a precautionary measure, along with a number of other affected retailers, we are recalling some of our frozen vegetable products because they may potentially contain Listeria monocytogenes.
We advise customers to bring any affected Lidl products back to our stores for a full refund.

*** Bestway Steel Pro Swimming Pool with Filter Pump sold out! ***
Unfortunately due to unprecedented demand the above item has sold out much quicker than we could have anticipated. Stock for this promotion was bought and the sales date planned nearly a year in advance.
Whilst we apologise to customers who have been disappointed, we would ask customers to be respectful towards our employees who have no control over availability.

We love the bread and cookies from Lidl and are always satisfied with the service in store, but just wanted to leave a review based on the excellent experience in the Cookstown store this morning.

My recently potty-trained toddler had said that he needed to use the toilet while we were in the queue. One of the staff overheard and came over to ask if we needed to access the bathroom. We appreciated the attention that she had paid to us, it may have only been a little thing, but certainly made life easier this morning. 👌🏼

User

Very helpful, friendly and efficient staff. Great value home produce from North and south. Its reassuring that almost all the fresh food is made in Ireland. Top quality wines with a very respectable award winning Gin.

User

So pleased today my son and friend picked up the veg teddies for us to buy and they said you can't buy them. We explained our kids have autism and severe learning difficulties and they gave them the teddies. What a fantastic shop and employees really understanding. In Lidl Antrim

Shop in Lidl every week but very disappointed that none of the stores have customer toilets!!... considering the sites your stores are built on have loads of space available to build toilets... I brought this point up a few years back when someone was outside the Abbey Centre branch, doing a survey for Lidl...

User

I was in lidl in Larne the other week, I had an amazing experience never had an experience like that in my whole life. The staff were so wonderful and friendly they had everything I needed. Plus it was Iberian peninsula week that's my favourite cuisine love calmérie, turrón and chickpeas. When I went to the till I just knew Kristen was going to be lovely and friendly and I was right!

User

We usually shop in the Dungannon branch. Most of the staff here are lovely. We have a toddler and there is never a problem having to use the toilet. The headsets can be a distraction but handy when a code is needed or another till open.

Prices are rising and are now fairly much in power with other supermarkets.

User

The only thing that puts me off going to Lidl is that there are no express checkouts! I would nip in the odd lunchtime to only get a couple of things and there are people with trolley loads of stuff...if I get stuck behind one of them I’m there for ages which wastes what time I have! Please can we have express and/or self service checkouts???

User

Normally my review would be 5 * but after a visit to my local Lidl on Saturday at 4pm I left feeling very disappointed! Firstly the store was a mess with several staff wheeling trolleys and display shelves round a very busy store, leaving them in the middle of aisles so people couldn't shop or walk past. Secondly none of the usual staff were on, they all seemed to be new and clueless. Thirdly when we finally got to the till we were third on the queue, the young boy on the till casually told us to go to another till if we wanted to get out quicker as he was having difficulty with his till, no apology, no please or thank you. We packed our shopping back into the trolley and moved to another queue where another young boy was struggling to get prices of items, running up and down the shop, then sending the customer to try and find a price, the customer eventually gave up and left the item! When we finally got to the till there was no hello, no apology for hold up, not even a smile. When we put our £50 shop through we asked for stickers for the Goodness Gang soft toys and he grunted that the stickers finished last week even though there were still rolls of them at every till! I am disabled and struggle to go shopping at all but usually manage a slow walk around our local Lidl but my husband and i have never been so close to abanding the trolley and walking out! I am unable to manage the bigger supermarkets and this is my only chance to feel as if I am shopping normally....so so very disappointed!

User

Stores have slightly improved in the last while with staff, there is no reason why Lidl shouldn’t invest in self service tills. Need to get with the 21st century or increase the staff budget.

User

Staff/management need to regularly check the condition of 'fresh' fruit n veg. Constantly arriving home with rotten packaged produce, which I did yesterday, packaged piccolo tomatoes, middle 4,and stem, covered in furry mould. Same in past, with onions, potatoes ,lemons. I know you're cheaper, than most, don't expect you to be like M&S,but expect fresh,'safe to eat' produce.Otherwise not value for money, if I have to throw in the bin?! Plus,Fresh bread, customers not using tongs provided, but digging in with their hands! Saw one man wipe his nose with back of hand, then used same hand to lift bread products into a bag. Yuk! Police this area to make sure,'untouched by human-hand'.

User

So it's decent value for money but whose idea was it to put headsets on the staff at tills? They chat away to each other (not work-related), no eye contact and first time they speak to the customer is when they're ready for you to pay. I suppose you get what you pay for....customer service is poor.

User

Oh dear! Two weeks ago I praised Lidl for leading the way in offering loose fruit and veg. However today I notice in my Downpatrick store that Lidl are asking us to pay 13p MORE a kilo for loose carrots. Lidl please explain how can this be??

A frustrated customer.

User

OMW Lidl what are you thinking with the bright orange toilet roll. Now I'm a massive Lidl fan I shop at my local store all the time the staff are amazing the shop is clean and well layed out, I'm a lover of Lidl shampoo, lather me up, Lidl biscuits get in my belly, Lidl cereal nothing nicer with your fresh Northern Irish milk, but the toilet roll is rougher than sand paper and now I'm left with 17 bright orange rolls of this stuff (we obviously used 1) I honestly wouldn't use it after a very drunk night of Lidl gin and a tasty curry. Deffo need to sort out your quality control on this item. Many thanks

User

I think it is awful that the staff on the tills are continually talking to each other through those headsets. It is so rude! I was over charged today as the cashier was too busy talking to a colleague rather than concentrating. The conversation was not work related.

User

I normally praise Lidl and love stopping by to shop, but recently everything I bought (from the chiller) had to be thrown out as it was off (I contacted head office who apologised but didn't refund me). Not at all happy.

User

I complained back in February about roses that died within a few days of being bought, had a reply to say they would investigate but no one actually cared, never got any decent reply or feedback, certainly won’t be buy from them again

User

Do Lidl specifically train their staff to be rude, impatient and have zero social skills? What a hateful supermarket to visit. Groceries fired through the checkout, landing on floor, no hello from assistant, no eye contact, no please or thank you. Then to be asked to pay before I continue packing just finished me. All while they talk to colleagues on their headset. It's not a specific store either... have had nasty customer service in quite a few.

User

Current Facebook post specifies prosecco is on offer for £4.49. I just phoned the company and it is mainland uk only. Very disappointed this offer claims to be available AGAIN and isn't. Wanted to buy cases for an upcoming event.

User

Coke was on at £1 for1.75l but when I went to my local store they had none and all the other stores were the same why but offers on if u don’t have the stock to back them up!!!

So it's decent value for money but whose idea was it to put headsets on the staff at tills? They chat away to each other (not work-related), no eye contact and first time they speak to the customer is when they're ready for you to pay. I suppose you get what you pay for....customer service is poor.

Oh dear! Two weeks ago I praised Lidl for leading the way in offering loose fruit and veg. However today I notice in my Downpatrick store that Lidl are asking us to pay 13p MORE a kilo for loose carrots. Lidl please explain how can this be??

A frustrated customer.

Many thanks

I complained back in February about roses that died within a few days of being bought, had a reply to say they would investigate but no one actually cared, never got any decent reply or feedback, certainly won’t be buy from them again

Current Facebook post specifies prosecco is on offer for £4.49. I just phoned the company and it is mainland uk only. Very disappointed this offer claims to be available AGAIN and isn't. Wanted to buy cases for an upcoming event.

Coke was on at £1 for1.75l but when I went to my local store they had none and all the other stores were the same why but offers on if u don’t have the stock to back them up!!!
