This years Psycle is well under way with both the 8 & 24 hour events in full flow! The 8 hour finishes at 6 pm today while the 24 hour continues throughout the night, finishing at noon tomorrow!! If you’re about, call in, these guys need all the encouragement they can get! #Psyched

Just over 1 week until the Castlewellan Trails play host to this years PSYCLE 8 & 24 hr MTB XC Endurance Events... Still time to enter!

Went today for the tri experience. Mountain biking, orienteering and canoe. We originally booked for March but the weather was rubbish and they had no problem switching a date. Brilliant. Today was perfect. I was with my daughter 14, and son 9. We arrived, they gave us bikes and showed us the trails then said see you in 2 hours. No group, just do our own thing, so we went at our pace and stopped for drinks and rest when needed. We then had lunch and did orienteering, which was a map of the forest with markers indicated. We had to use the map to locate them. Again at own pace and the guys adapted the route to our needs. It is essentially a walk around the paths made more fun and challenging, my son loved searching for the markers which aren't easy to see! Finally canoeing, was difficult in the breeze, but we all got into one boat and set out. When we had enough we returned. Great day out, everyone exhausted but thoroughly entertained. Staff helpful and friendly but left us to do our day the way we wanted.



Would certainly go back and use the facilities. Clean changing rooms, equipment excellent quality and better coffee than the Grange cafe!

We went out coasteering as a family yesterday and it was brilliant John was our fabulous instructor, attentive to the different abilities of the group.... definitely recommend as a day out, we are all wrecked today �

We used Life recently to start my sisters hen celebrations, and no better way to do it 🙂... We opted for bouldering, excellent activity and the craic was great 👍🎉... A big thank you to John and Michael for making the morning unforgettable, we definitely had many giggles, I would definitely recommend Life, a very professional company

We hired bikes to have a family mountain bike experience . I can't describe how wonderful it was. The bikes were excellently maintained, the service was amazing and the coffee at the end was a delight. I can't wait to have one more day off for us to go back!!! I definitely suggest it to everybody Thank you 'Life'

We have attended multiple events held by the Life team.



On each we have been very pleased with the activities, which have been well planned, challenging and variable in difficulty to accommodate young and old(er).



The customer service is second to none. A friendly face and welcoming words on arrival, knowledgeable and clear advice during and a farewell that makes you feel valued as a customer as you leave.



Highly recommended for a family day out ��



One minor point, if you're having trouble booking online give them a ring. Sometimes tricky to find the booking route online (especially first time). But easily sorted with a call :-)

We had a fantastic day doing the Family Tri experience: mountain biking, kayaking and orienteering around the beautiful Castlewellan lake and park. The staff could not have been more helpful. It gave us a precious day out that even the grumpy teenagers lost themselves in and they had an absolute ball! Thank you guys: loved it!

Was a good days days craic first time mountain biking and would definitely recommend it �

Victoria was fantastic and very knowledgeable of the area. The bikes were new and in fantastic shape and the trails were amazing! Will definitely be back!

Up in Castlewellan for a walk last week and spotted the life Centre, so went in to make enquiries. Very helpful staff member explained about the kayaking sessions, how to book online etc. We took the plunge and booked two kayaks for an afternoon session. Very impressed with the facilities and equipment, staff were very helpful and thorough going through instructions and safety checks, but then let us get on with paddling about for a few hours. Lovely warm changing facilities once we'd finished. Really enjoyed ourselves, we'll be back for mountain biking and kayaking in the future.

Saved the day with a replacement chain for my e-bike. Could have been the whole day ruined but they came to the rescue. Will definitely be giving their Cube e-bikes a try next time.

Right at the trail head. Helpful staff. Fabulous apres-ride area and great hot chocolate!

My boys had the best day ever today with their favourite activity being kayaking:) They can't wait to come back! Great staff and amazing facilities.

I searched on internet for a bike hiring company which offers children service and have safe route around( i.e. none-traffic routes). I asked several companies but this company met all the requirements. Around the Castlewellan lake is as beautiful as Paradise !

It was safe for basic riders and children. Mountain biking was also available for professionals and more confident riders!All in one place!



I recommend it to everyone who wants to have a very nice day out specifically with children.

Very nice, helpful and friendly staff as well. It was a perfect experience.

Have done the kayaking a few times now and just love it! Really good value, this place is so well organised and the staff are so lovely. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience with fantastic people. There was 2 of us. We camped at the Park and went for mountain biking n kayaking. Fair enough did end up in bushes once or twice but hey such as life :-)

Very knowledgeable n nice staff plus great equipment.
