The staff have been so accommodating on numerous occasions regarding my need to feed my little one. They provided me with a beautiful, comfortable room and I was told to take as long as I needed. As it is also breast feeding awareness week, I petitioned a local councillor to recognise this event by lighting the building. Not only was this responded to swiftly and carried out, there was a photograph session in order to further raise the profile of breast feeding. I can't thank the councillors and staff enough for giving of their time so freely.

A quick response to my email about fly tipping on the Derriaghy Road and the rubbish was cleared within a couple of days. Sadly, some other slob has now dumped bottles and containers in the gateway of the gospel hall. This is the second time I have contacted Environmental Services about dumping of rubbish and each time I've had a quick reply and action taken. Well done!.

Totally degusted with animal welfare have been complaining about the conditions a dog was being kept in for weeks now they were told that a video had been taken of it sleeping outside in the last snow and they done nothing have been ringing for weeks about it and even spoke to a councillor kept telling me they were dealing with owners until today when they were told it was going on Facebook as the dog was barely alive after sleeping out all night I and was totally covered with snow i hope I get answers to this and that people responsible are dealt with

User

Rang to get bed lifted on Monday, told it would be 23 Feb before they could come. Where am I supposed to put it until then? Girl on phone was so rude, no sorry or thank you, bring back Castlereagh Council, the area is far too big now and they don’t care!

User

People from Dundonald area with a Monday bin collection have all left their bins out hoping for a collection yesterday, so we have to wait until Saturday 6th January for alternative collection???

User

I'm absolutely fed up leaving out my bins on the designated days. I follow all the rules and meet all the requirements but still the refuse collection is abysmal! My brown bin has been left unemptied for the second time, so that makes it a full month of food and garden waste. It's a health hazard in this warm weather and I'm disgusted by the lack of organisation and in addition, we are required to leave our bins in an exact position for ease of collection...yet it's fine to abandon the bins in the middle of the road (when they finally do get emptied) Look at your overall rating please and take note. As a council, you're falling far behind the most basic requirements!!!

User

I live in thaxton village pay enough on rates and service charges and not so much as a bag of grit left for our streets! Rang the council passed onto someone else and there’s no answer it’s a disgrace

User

You lot save that poor dog out in the cold in lisburn?? Read alot of posts it died and not one of you did nothing to save it!! I'm sure I'm not the only one but if that's the case and something could have been done to save it I will be taking it this futher and making sure the head of the snake gets punished hopefully sacked for not helping a defenceless animal

User

Think you would need to sort your staff at the cutts dump ridiculous told the staff member at the entrance I had polystyrene and cardboard he told me to pop it all in section 8 so I drive all the way to that section only to be told by another staff member no that stuff can’t go in that bit you need to take it to section 3 asked for some help as I have a physical disability and it’s a bit of walk and he refused ridiculous as he stood there and talked to another member of staff!!!

User

There are animal welfare issues in your borough that need to be addressed right now. It is not acceptable that dogs are outside in this weather covered in snow with frozen water bowls and no shelter. The animal welfare officer in your area needs to do his job properly......

User

Poor is putting it politely. We have absolutely no recycling facilities (green and brown bins) which means we have to put all our refuse in our normal bin, which then inevitably gets rejected for collection. I've seen more stickers on the bins in our area than anywhere else in Lisburn this past couple of years, yet when you ring about being provided with other bins, you just get pushed from pillar to post, nobody actually seems to know anything about it! Not only that, but our main drains on the ground floor are bunged up to the heavens, and it has got to the stage where human waste is overflowing onto the grass, right outside our neighbour's kitchen window. The housing executive and water board have been down, but just keep coming and going, making notes and doing little else. If this carries on, the area will be a health hazard not only to immediate residents, but to the surrounding area. DISGUSTING.

User

Just letting people know if you are interested in a dog from Lisburn Dog Pound not to get their hopes up too much. I rang this morning about a dog and was told to come at 12.30, asked if he could hold it over for me to be told "first come first served", as they aren't allowed to hold dogs for people and if I was first there I could have it. I arrived at 12.10 to be told it was sold!! I waited on the Dog Warden, as she was the one who sold it, to be told that they have a waiting list in their office for certain dogs. I asked her why she was advertising the dog then and she said "because she had to" So in other words when they are putting dogs up for adoption when some of them have already been sold, so please be careful xxx

I have been waiting mouths for my dogs licensees and been complaining about rubbish around my house for almost a year now and f***k all been done yet if they get a phone call saying I ain’t looking after my animals there got a rocket up there ass to get to my door like fu*k what more important here well looked after dogs or health problems because of rubbish at the side of my house hate you all can’t do your jobs

User

Hopeless!! Left two brown bins out as not aware of the additional cost that started on 1-06-17. Only to find maggots all over the place because second bin left unemptied an now I've been told it will cost £50 a year for second brown bin to be emptied!! Who's pockets that lining?????.

User

Bin collection was late after christmas, had extra bags of rubbish set beside the bin. Phoned to check my collection day as asked would the extra bags be a problem and was told no thats fine as they are late.

When the lorry arrived they didnt lift them and refused to take them, happy to leave the rubbish laying on the street. Managed to chuck a few in myself but this didnt go down so well.

Include common sense and a bit of decency in their training wouldnt hurt.

User

Animal welfare... Not a priority for the council. Leaving a dog to die in this weather. That's murder

There are animal welfare issues in your borough that need to be addressed right now. It is not acceptable that dogs are outside in this weather covered in snow with frozen water bowls and no shelter. The animal welfare officer in your area needs to do his job properly......

DISGUSTING.

Hopeless!! Left two brown bins out as not aware of the additional cost that started on 1-06-17. Only to find maggots all over the place because second bin left unemptied an now I've been told it will cost £50 a year for second brown bin to be emptied!! Who's pockets that lining?????.

Animal welfare... Not a priority for the council. Leaving a dog to die in this weather. That's murder

Animal welfare - woeful!

If the posting with the dog out in Storm Emma is true and not addressed then you all should be absolutely ashamed of yourselves!
