Reviews
Unfortunately, I have had to make the difficult decision to temporarily close Lisburn Reflexology.
I will be in touch with all of my clients who have booked in and will let everyone know when I’m up and running again.
Best wishes to everyone and stay safe.

“Our bodies naturally follow a cycle that allows us to stay awake and alert during the day and helps us get essential rest at night. But when we look at these screens as we're getting ready to sleep, our brains get confused. Bright light can make the brain think it's time to stop producing melatonin, a hormone that gives your body "time to sleep" cues.”

“The vagus nerve has fibers that innervate virtually all of our internal organs. The management and processing of emotions happens via the vagal nerve between the heart, brain and gut, which is why we have a strong gut reaction to intense mental and emotional states.”
The vagus nerve can be stimulated during a reflexology session.

“Reflexology is a great way of relaxing and learning to manage your stress levels and anxiety symptoms. As well as the profoundly relaxing experience of having a treatment from a professional reflexologist, you can also use hand reflexology in between sessions in order to manage your response to your anxiety symptoms yourself.”
“Inflammation is your body's response to stress. Therefore, reducing "fight-or-flight" responses in the nervous system and lowering biological markers for stress can also reduce inflammation.
Typically, doctors prescribe medications to combat inflammation. However, there's growing evidence that another way to combat inflammation is by engaging the vagus nerve and improving “vagal tone.” This can be achieved through daily habits such as yoga and meditation.”
Another way to sti...mulate the vagus nerve is with Reflexology.
This is an important part of a Reflexology session at Lisburn Reflexology and is used for every client.
