Lise Mc Greevy Photographic Description

As a qualified artist and photojournalist my documentary based collections have been exhibited extensively in Northern Ireland.

My current self initiated art programme, PEACE AND RECONCILE, has gained MLA endorsement and been exhibited twice at Parliament Buildings Stormont; Phase I in April 2016 and the second stage in Sept 2017. Bespoke pieces have also be been created and presented to the then First and Deputy First Minister in April 2016.

I am planning to take Phase IIs installation, Abandoned; Not Forgotten?, to London and the States during 2018.

I have exhibited many other solo collections but the following are my main touring shows to date.

During Aug and Sept '14, the Flax's Museum played host to my WW1 Bunker-style installation, 'Lest We Forget' and I have also had recent confirmation that another body of 'We Salute You. . . ' shall be exhibited there in April. 'Lest We Forget', in memory of those from NI who died during the First Great War, has also been exhibited at the War Memorial and Royal Ulster Rifles Museums in Belfast before it was endorsed by four MLAs and hosted at Stormont Buildings during Nov /Dec.

My Andy-Warhol style inspired work in commemoration of Titanic's fallen, ‘We Salute You’, has been hosted at the Crescent Arts Centre during August 2014. This installation also featured as part of Belfast's Culture Night, where I exhibited within the event's hub inside the bank vault of the Assembly Rooms in Belfast (19 - 21 Sept). I have previously exhibited other works at this iconic arts event.

In addition, April 2014 marked the end of my seven month Titanic Quarter tour with 'We Salute You', a collection created to commemorate those who died on board the iconic vessel - especially the 56 children who perished. With this tour I became first visual artist to exhibit on board the SS Nomadic, the ship which ferried passengers to the Titanic prior to her ill-fated maiden voyage.
