Lou Lou Belle Handmade Bridal Jewellery is a small local business, created in 2015 by Marie Nugent and has been fondly described by the retired nurse as a ‘hobby went mad’.
With help from her best friend Anne the catchy business name was chosen in celebration of their first granddaughters, both named Lucy ‘Lou Lou’ who are just gorgeous hence ‘Belle’
Marie has been designing and handcrafting jewellery for several years to the delight of family and friends using a range of mixed mediums. This expertise lends to her ability to . incorporate anything of sentiment to the bride within her designs further embracing
‘The something old, something new, something borrowed something blue tradition. ’
Working from home, she provides a warm friendly atmosphere that encourages and supports bridal participation essential to the design process. This ensures that the bride is instrumental and the piece she has chosen (whether it be bouquet, head piece, necklace, bracelet or earrings) represents a true reflection of her needs and feelings on her special day. Items of sentiment can be very diverse (e. g. lace, buttons, jewellery, watches etc. ).
