Lough Neagh Discovery Centre

Nice place with fantastic views, gets lots of visitors so you may need to walk a little from your car! If you like inland seas then this is for you! Kids play area etc and nice Cafe that's not overpriced!!

Great atmosphere snd very friendly staff. The cook is not only helpful but extremely generous with portions of food. I have recommended the cafe to all my friends and we are always happy to meet here for a chat.

The oxfordisland web site is a disaster of form over function. Mostly it highlights the cafe and shop. The map was clearly not made by a cartographer - it didn't represent the reality on the ground. Too pretty. Croaghan hide was grubby, window openings with old spiders webs. The Closet hide shown on the map didn't exist. The steps at no 9 on the Old Shoreline Walk were the other way. For most of the walk you were hidden in trees and surrounded by huge nettles everywhere.

Not the most interesting place to go. Walks are short and kids play area limited.

This place is great no matter what time of year you visit, although from.April on you will have to put up with swarms of Lough neagh fly. But it's a great place for adults and kids, plenty of walks, nature, kids park, and a great visitors centre with interactive boards detailing kinds of wildlife found there, and great cafe serving great food at decent price.

Wonderful interpretation centre with a cafe. Right of the edge of Lough Neagh, surrounded by birds. It is in a National Park and has good walks.
