Message from the Parent Forum
The legal team Phoenix Law working with education equality group presented the case today at the High Court for the First review hearing before Mr Justice McCloskey . Our chair of the Parent Forum ( LURGAN SCHOOL for LURGAN SCHOOL went along also to observe to be able to keep in touch with the proceedings and help where we can on behalf of the parents.
The Education Authority have already backed down on some parts of their consultation re obj...ections that we and others set out in one of many letters sent to the EA outlining the many Flaws within the document but they have a bit to go yet !!!
The judge stated that he would give a written ruling when the case would be heard by the 29th May 2019 and expressed he understood the urgency of the case as pupils and parents need to know what is happening .
The Parents Forum “Lurgan school for Lurgan children “ have also been engaging with our newly elected and past representatives and are engaging in numerous other meetings in order to achieve what the parents overwhelmingly want for all the children in Lurgan and what is educationally , financially and morally right to do so.
An 11-16 school on a site that is there !! With transfer at 14 to Grammar .

Scottish Dancers from Lurgan JHS and Irish Dancers from St Ronan’s performed a combined dance item for Prince Charles today! Mrs McCrory said to Prince Charles that he could have joined in!! 😂 Amazing work everyone!!!
