In these extraordinary times, Macmillan’s priority is the health and wellbeing of people with cancer, Macmillan professionals, our staff, supporters and volunteers.
Like everyone, we are working out what these new and difficult circumstances mean for us as we know that our services supporting people with cancer will be needed even more than ever.
Right now, our Macmillan nurses, doctors and other health professionals up and down the country are continuing to support people li...ving with cancer whilst doing all they can to help alleviate the immense strain put on the NHS by coronavirus (covid-19).
We are doing everything we can to make sure our vital frontline services continue to be available for much needed clinical advice and emotional support during this difficult time. But there may be some disruption so please bear with us while we work through this.
Comprehensive cancer information and support is available on www.macmillan.org.uk and our online community continues to provide invaluable emotional and peer support. The Macmillan Support Line is open Monday-Friday between 9am-5pm on 0808 808 00 00.
This is an anxious time for people with cancer and supporting them continues to be our priority.

A massive £3,500 cheque was presented to Macmillan this week from a charity dance held in the Royal British Legion in Londonderry on Sat 21st February. This is the 5th year of the event in memory of Ian Donnell’s partner, Lorraine Campbell who sadly passed away from cancer.
Lorraine’s family helped to organise the dance and would like to thank everyone who donated, came along or helped in any way. A great night was had by all, with dancing to Cool Breeze along with a raffle. All proceeds will be used to support people in the North West who are living with cancer.
Pictured is Lorraine’s partner Ian Donnell, Lorraine’s sisters Jeanette Simpson and Catherine Gamble, and Catherine’s husband Wesley Gamble.

A big thank you to members of Templepatrick Orange Lodge who raised a fantastic £1,000 for Macmillan throughout 2019. Michael White, pictured with Macmillan Fundraising Manager Maria Small, says, "Templepatrick Orange Lodge would like to thank all those who donated and helped to raise this money. Macmillan has helped many of our members, families and friends. The support, care and medical expertise that they bring is a huge comfort to all concerned and this service is invalu...able. We hope this donation will help Macmillan to continue helping all of us."
Maria added, “Macmillan was delighted to have the support of Templepatrick Orange Lodge last year and we look forward to working together again in 2020. Macmillan receives no government funding so we rely on the generosity of people all over NI to help us provide our vital services at a time of growing need."

Local musician strikes a chord for Macmillan!
A huge thank you to musician Ryan Kelly and his incredibly generous fans for their recent donation of £5,000. Received by local Fundraising Manager Maria Small, the money was raised in memory of Ryan's Dad Sean who had been supported by Macmillan. Ryan is a member of several bands (including Celtic Thunder and Byrne and Kelly) whose fans helped him raise the money, alongside the proceeds of a successful calendar. Thank you to everyone involved 💚
