Hello everyone !
Well it's been a long time I haven't posted in here. I received a few messages in the past couple of weeks and I thought i would give you a little update on how things have been and what to expect here in the next few months.
The boys are now 7 and 3 and a half. They are doing great ! Alfie started school this year but only goes for an hour and a half at the moment as he has ASD and we are building things slowly to help him adjust. I feel very grateful that... I am in a position where I can work around their schedules.
As I mentioned before here I am running another small business Hello Poupette Designs which has been steadily growing but although it does involve creating the making part is not as manual and my hands have been missing sewing a lot lately.
Life is really busy at the minute but once Alfie starts going for longer I will be able to get back to sewing more. I do not know yet exactly when this will be as we are just following him but hopefully after the halloween break he should be all settled in.
I was asked if I could take orders between now and Christmas and the answer is yes but they will be limited as I do want to make sure I have the time to make them on time for Christmas. The prices are remaining the same they used to be (you can find a price list in the Notes section). I would advise you to book a space as soon as possible as once they are gone, they are gone, so if you would like to place an order for Christmas (or before) send me a private message and we can discuss the details.
In the new year I am hoping to start stocking ready made cushions in an online shop platform and take more custom orders again and bring in new designs, but I will update you closer to the time as to how this will all work once I know how much time I have to work with etc...

Good morning !
Long time no post ! (and long post ahead involving how mermaids helped me found my sew jo and some updates)
Since I had Alfie I have been finding it more difficult to fit a lot of sewing in my days so I decided to start a second business Hello Poupette Designs which I absolutely love too and is easier to run with a crazy toddler running around. At times I wondered what I would do about this business. I had lost my sewjo and I wasn't sure if it would ever be ...back. So at the begining of the year I decided to start taking orders when I had requests for them and slowly ease back into it and see what happened. All of them came from returning customers and with every order the feeling that I did not want to give up on this business grew. There is something very special about having a handmade business. Behind every order there is a story. This is one of them that I wanted to share with you because it is the one that made me realise how much I want to get back to it properly (Alfie will fingers crossed be starting playgroup in september so I will have some more work time on my hands). It may be a very simple story but to me it meant a lot more and was just what I needed !
4 years ago a lovely lady called Becky contacted me. She had bought owl cushions from me previously and was wondering if I could make her a mermaid themed cushion for her daughter Brooke. This is the one I ended up making. It is to this day one of my favourite cushions I have ever made. A few weeks ago Becky contacted me asking if I would be able to make a matching whale cushion for Brooke's best friend for her birthday. Of course I could not refuse and absolutely loved making this one too. The whole process reminded me how much I loved to make things for people and when I received those pictures it just confirmed to me that I wanted this feeling of making people happy with something I created back in my life on a more regular basis.
I believe things happen for a reason and if you had told me all those times I was doubting myself that one day two lovely mermaids (and one lovely mummy) would help me I would not have believed it but the proof is in the pictures !

It had been a while it hadn't happened, but it is really nice to wake up to the notification that you are getting a fabric delivery :) it is to make my first order of the year and I am really excited about it !

Hello everyone, So it's been a few weeks that I feel the need to post something about how my Christmas orders will work this year as usually by now I would have done so. I think a part of me felt guilty I was not in a position to do what I have been doing in the previous years and then I realised that is life and sometimes plans change and you just have to adjust and go with the flow. In life my priority is my children and they are at a stage where they need me a lot which me...ans I only have a limited amount of sewing time available. Everyday I am not sure how much time I will get apart from the times when I know that James will be minding the boys and I can focus on orders. They grow up so quickly and as scary as it seems Alfie might already be starting playgroup in less than a year. At this point I will know I have time during the day when I can focus solely on orders. Until then I have tried to think of the best way to make sure I can continue without letting anyone down and the best option is to limit the amount of orders I am taking so I am certain I will have the time to do those and if I get extra time, make ready to buy items.
So here is what it means for this Christmas : I will be offering my usual range for Christmas orders. That is all the Christmas decorations, the personalised stockings and my usual range of cushions, soft toys and leggings. The only difference is that I will only be able to do a very limited amount of orders. All Christmas orders will be made in October and November to be sure they are all posted in plenty of time for Christmas. I will not be making orders during the month of December and then will start again at the middle of January.
Some of you have already contacted me to pencil them in for next year and I am at this moment able to do so for January and February I will announce after Christmas how it will work after this as you never know I might be in a position were I can offer more again but I'd rather wait and see closer to the time how things are looking.
I hope you understand this decision. I prefer to keep my focus on quality rather than quantity :)

We are back from our holidays in France. I will be starting to sew again from the week starting Monday 12th September. Well I know it has been ages since I last posted here and as you may know, the summer holidays have always been a quieter time as I have the boys at home all the time. This year I decided to take this time to work on a new project during that time as well. It is something I have been thinking of doing for a long time but it never felt like the right time. Earlier this year it started to feel like now was the time to go for it. Soooo here it is I presen...t to you Hello Poupette Designs. I have always been a planner and organisation junkie and I have come up with a range of stickers to help people stay organised as well as a second YouTube channel where I am doing planning/stationery/organisation... videos.

Hello everyone, I know things have been super quiet around here lately. As the summertime is always the quietest time for me order wise, I have decided to spend time working on a project I have been thinking about for a long time. I will tell you a lot more about it once it is closer to the time but I will be launching a new page/business in September. If you like planning, stationnery, stickers etc you may be interested in it :D Mademoiselle Poupette will continue as usual and I am still open for orders but I may be little quieter on social media while I am working on this .

Hello everybody, as I was updating my planner and organising my work etc I thought I would let you know about how things will work over the next few months. I will be off all of August this year as we are going on holidays and having some work done in our house. The last orders before that will be posted on Monday 25th July. I will be back as usual in September. If you need anything made for a special event in August it is still possible, I will just need to post it to you before I am off. I have a few slots available in June and July as well if you would like and if you are of the organised type, I can take orders for anytime in the year even a long time in advance :)

In the last few months, I had to hide quite a few orders from you as they were surprise presents for people. This was one of them, a special 1st Birthday present to fit in little Oscar's pirate themed bedroom

Good morniiiing ! Well since the last time I posted a lot of things happened, I went on a little trip to Dublin with my sister, I saw Pentatonix in concert, I did some shopping, my sister stayed with us for a week, we had a barbecue, i got sunburnt despite putting sunscreen on, alfie took a few steps, he got his first haircut, Eoghan discovered he loved hugging trees ... All this to say I have been away making memories and enjoying my family but I am back to work today. This week I am working on a super cool cloud cushion and might make more ready to buy things too.

Just popped to tesco and came home to a big box on my doorstep and a parcel in my hallway. Rachel and Katie you have made me cry today. When I started my YouTube channel I was scared of so many things and didn't think I would actually make friends. Well it has taken me much longer than it should BUT I am happy to report all messages are answered and I am all up to date with admin work and orders woop woop ! This time of the year is my favourite (Christmas time aside), there are strawberries, the eurovision song contest, my birthday, it's spring (my favourite season) and the sun has been shining for several days in a row and I am loving it.
