Magherabuoy House Hotel
Reviews
Just spent the nite here for my mum's birthday... Needs a little bit of a revamp... but otherwise a very good hotel the staff are excellent so friendly and helpful and the food is very good..
Fantastic for food only £13 for main meal and a sweet plus a drink
Went for a dinner event. Halfway through dinner they ran out of food which resulted in half the room having to wait for more food to be cooked and the first half finishing their meals before the remaining people even got any food. The tea served at the end was no stronger than lightly tinted water and when asking a member of the serving staff we were told that she had just made the pot and its not her fault its not strong enough. Finally while eating dessert another member of the serving staff decided to clear the table by leaning over the backs of chairs with no warning to collect salt shakers, spoons, forks and napkins. The only saving grace was no-one got food poisoning
Staff upon arrival were friendly and clear with what they were saying and seemed interested. The room was easily accessible and we'll furnished and tidy. The breakfast was a little lacking however
We went for dinner in the hotel as it was nearby and we had a baby within the party. Firstly the restaurant is massive and very well laid out. The food was amazing with massive portions arriving, but each person thourghly enjoyed their meal and went home feeling stuffed. Only downside was service was a tad slow for what was quite a quiet night. Otherwise top notch and all the waitress and waiters where extremely pleasant to talk too.
Location is great, very convenient. The food is good but the bedrooms are basic however the bed is comfortable.
Pleasant helpful staff, good food. Pity no bath in the room
