Man Matters

Man Matters is a project in Northern Ireland which focuses on males and encourages them to engage in learning.

The Man Matters project is a partnership project in Northern Ireland which involves the Workers' Educational Association (WEA), Home-Start NI, Parenting NI and the Men's Health Forum in Ireland. It is funded by the Big Lottery Fund for five years. The project focuses on males and addresses the themes of health, education, parenting /family and community work /volunteering. The aim is to encourage men to engage in learning in these areas. The project works primarily with men themselves to increase their knowledge and capabilities but it also seeks to influence how services are provided and policies are made.
