My first Marantz, a SR7011, as I'm learning to use the reciever it feels easy and I love the design and the warm, clear sound.
I am upset the service... namely absence of service: twice wrote about problem - nobody didn't answer to me... officials distributor in the same way keep the silent!
Not good for company has pretentious to be the best!
What do I think of Marantz? Well my 7010 is nothing but trouble, it's been "repaired" 3 times now and once again it is playing up and I have just about had it with this unit . The hassle of disconnecting,reconnecting, setting it up again, being without it for two or three weeks while they have it on test and say they can't find anything wrong , and the unit is not 12 months old. They finally replaced some components and guess what , same old fault returns. I've had it with Marantz I want my unit replaced or my money back, not fit for purpose!!
Very poor quality. Just after guarantee finished (12 month after purchase) the device broke (issues with part of hardware). I had to repair it on my own cost. Tried to put a review on producers page and I've been told that I'm not allowed to say anything wrong (basically they used very polite words to say to me that I'm lying) as they are just following their policies. Now it's 3 months after the repair and again there is a problem this time with software as I can't connect with internet radio (server is not present). Just ridiculous and not worth to spend such money... I won't recommend to anyone and even I'll try to discourage people from buying this brand.
Returned my PM8005 amp to warranty repair back in November 2017 and have not received it back yet. Absolutely no communication from Marantz as to when it would be ready. This level of service is just ridiculous.
Returned my NR1607 for repair as ARC was not working when the last update firmaware installed itself , retailer where I purchased from tested inhouse and found same problem . Sent to Marantz Authorized repairer ( Sound System Technology ) according to paperwork .. reloaded software , checked ARC working .. no problem ) Recieved back , no change , not even been opened to actually look inside ( i security marked screws ) . Looks like I will not purchase another Marantz .. I have 6 year warranty . Going back to Onkyo as support is outstanding . Forgot to add , the unit is less than a year old
RIP conselette, new iOS 11, end of life of expensive 1000€ iPhone speaker? How is this even even happening Marantz, do you give me a refund!
