@chefpauldeeney plating the first dishes to be served off of his new menu this evening. He has carefully sourced only the finest local ingredients to create each dish on his menu. We were slightly apprehensive about going out with 10 people and 2 babies on St Patrick’s days. From the moment we entered the building the staff could not have been more accommodating, helping us find a spacious seating area, constantly clearing the tables keeping them clutter free, ice cream promotions for the kids and free crisps and chicken wings throughout the rugby match. The staff were so friendly and could not have been more helpful. I would definitely recommend Me and Mrs Jones and will be back soon. �

We stayed here last night for my friends 50th birthday bash. What can i say. The hotel is exceptional, staff are first class including receptionist and assistant manager Jamie who couldn't do enough for us. The hotel is beautifully designed with exceptional art deco style rooms, each set out uniquely and individual. Its defo 5 star but needs aircon to give it that 5 star status. This is defo the secret hotel of the north and honestly if u need a wee weekend away its really reasonable and worth a look. Big shout out also to Kirsty who showed us round the hotel. The girl deserves very high recognition a defo wee diamond there. We will be back for sure

Stayed on Friday night for my partners 30th birthday and loved everything about it, beautiful hotel and staff couldn’t have been more helpful. We would definitely recommend to others and can’t wait to return!

Stayed at this beautiful hotel for a work trip for two nights . The staff are a credit to the hotel , so friendly and welcoming and go out of their way to help you in any way they can. Food was gorgeous . I took the package deal which was amazing . Rooms are beautiful . I felt like a VIP for a couple of nights . I would highly recommend this hotel and am looking forward to my next visit .

Second time I’ve been here and it’s been amazing both times. Can’t thank Caroline and all the other staff for their help. Was only orginally meant to be staying for two nights in the junior suite but due to having such a good time Caroline helped us get another room for another night at late notice. Great drinks prices during happy hour too which sealed the deal including the great weather. Cheers to all the staff.

Right ! The meal and staff interaction was excellent. Filet was better than perfect. The waitress started with an apology for the wine list availability which was unnecessary as the wine we ordered was in stock. The live music was fine, albeit a tad loud and made it difficult to have a conversation with HB. (Honey Bunch ). One thing really annoys me is the decor in the area in front of the kitchen. The low grey ceiling and the metal shutter over the kitchen serving area looks like a shuttered concrete garage (sorry). the light is so low that I had to use the torch on my phone to read the menu. Won’t stop me revisiting but I hope you take my comments on board and paint the ceiling nice and bright .

We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived and all the staff we spoke to were friendly , professional and answered any queries that we had. We had a junior suite and it was top class and probably the most comfiest bed iv slept on. The decor really makes this hotel stand out from the rest I love the quirkiness of it all. cocktails in the bar were great and the cooked breakfast was nice. The only thing that I could have a gripe with was that the contenintal selection at breakfast was poor; wouldnt stop me returning though.

My husband & I recently stayed at this beautiful hotel, the staff are absolutely amazing, helpful, friendly, couldn't do enough to make your time and stay here first class. The food in the restaurant was beautiful. The rooms are stunning, we both loved this hotel and will defnitely be returning.

Each room is unique & there’s a real feeling of luxury at the hotel. It’s clear to see everyone who works at the hotel loves it & is passionate about it being a success. The atmosphere is really relaxed & staff are so friendly. There are always bound to be teething problems with any new hotel & I really hope you’s go from strength to strength because it is the most perfect place! Thank you for your hospitality �

Just back from a 2 night stay with my other half and just had to leave a review. We had a lovely time. There was a bit of a mix up with the booking and it wasn't an issue at all with reception staff who were very accomodating. Our room was beautiful (Room 20) and spotless!

Every single member of staff is a credit to the place! Helpful and friendly - in particular the bearded gentleman at reception and barman!

We also had a great meal, the goats cheese salad was amazing!

We will definitely be back!! Xxx

From the receptionist, Laura, who was excellent, welcoming us with a lovely, Portstewart smile, to the stunning rooms, each with their own unique style,to a lovely, freshly cooked breakfast, this is the north coasts jewel in the crown, we really enjoyed our stay and will be back, to experience more of the beautiful rooms, two down, in one night, eighteen to go!

Absolutely fantastic, from start to finish. First class service, first class food, and my two boys loved it, the staff were so helpful with getting my youngest sorted with internet connection and made of my 12 yr old laugh in the best possible way, in the words of my son's....."mum we will definitely be back here"! I couldn't agree more! See yous soon x

5 star is an understatement this place should get ten. The staff was amazing and couldn’t of done anymore for us !! The food and cocktails was also to die for! I asked for extras for my friends birthday and the staff made sure they done it and more would highly recommend it. Also heather the receptionist was just so lovely and so welcoming in. She made sure we were happy with all our services which made you feel special and that they were thankful for having us. I will most certainly be going back.

We also overheard one of the chefs giving a waitress (who was absolutely lovely & very helpful) an absolute mouth full which there was no need for! Very unprofessional on his part especially as the kitchen is open & he was in earshot of customers!

My husband & I stayed in the bridal suite on our wedding night on 27th April. While waiting to check-in another guest was complaining that a member of staff had entered their room twice and said they had a freestanding bath in their room and were not impressed. So from we entered the hotel we just thought something wasn't right. The receptionist on check-in was pleasant, however didn't know our correct package, I had to tell her that dinner was included and she didn't tell us important details like times of dinner, breakfast & checkout. I had to ask to book dinner which we did for 6pm. Having worked as a hotel receptionist I know these are the basic details you discuss with your guests on check-in. Our room was out of this world, and the hotel had left us a card with a late checkout to 12 and a box of quality street. We went down for dinner expecting a busy restaurant but there were more staff than customers. We were seated and ordered. The food was beautiful and well presented. We left the restaurant and went out for the evening. At 1.30am we were wakened by the fire alarm, our room was flashing red and the loud noise went through the entire hotel. We waited to see if the alarm went off, it didn't. I tried to phone reception there was music playing so we ran down stairs to find a male on reception who simply said, without making eye contact, 'it's a false alarm'. I was so annoyed. In the morning I rang to ask breakfast times and we went down. It was the same male on reception. He didn't say good morning or even smile. We went into the restaurant and waited to be seated. We waited 10 minutes and there was no staff or anyone about. So I had to go back out to the receptionist to ask is anyone working in the restaurant. He said he would go get someone. We went back and a waitress and chef appeared who had clearly been smoking. They never apologised, just said take a seat. We ate breakfast, which was also lovely and decided we had had enough. We paid £250 (which us is alot of money) for a night of peace and luxury after a year filled with illness & heartache but instead were met by unhelpful staff & rudely awakened by a false alarm. On checkout they had our bill wrong, they had added on our meal from th night before even though it was included in the package. I wish we would have just booked into a b&b for a night because these people clearly have no clue how to run a hotel or treat their guests!!
