An old injury needed some attention and this woman’s usual therapist isn’t qualified to work with pregnant women! I’m so glad I could help ease the pain along with other pregnancy related symptoms.
Being pregnant is a wonderful time but it’s also tough on the body. I work with many couples whose journey to being pregnant is long, and they feel so lucky to have morning sickness and back pain and fatigue but I like to tell them -... Thinking tonight of all the strong women and couples I know who have experienced a loss that can’t be put into words. The loss of a child under any circumstances is the most heartbreaking thing anyone can imagine...and it happens in 1 of 4 pregnancies. Pregnancy Massage at Meant to Bee is more than a comfortable snooze while getting your lovely bump rubbed! Although that’s a nice way to spend an hour, if you’re experiencing pain or discomfort there’s lots I can do to help thanks to my Arvigo Pregnancy training (I’m currently the only Pregnancy P...ractitioner in NI!) and pregnancy remedial therapy training, this work is a generous combo of back massage to ease pain on the lower back, hips and shoulders, tummy massage to ease ligament pain, frequent urination, heartburn and indigestion, and reflexology for emotional stresses, nausea and sleep issues... to name a few!

Why I love my job...
I’ve seen the most amazingly strong group of women this weekend at Meant to Bee, covering almost every stage of fertility and pregnancy.
One client brought her new bouncing baby girl to see me, and to have some postpartum massage, it was so wonderful catching up with this couple, having seen them through IVF and conceiving their little bundle on the first try.
... Another client having just had embryo transfer and beginning the 2 week wait for the second time around, this anxiety ridden stage is the emotional rollercoaster of IVF, appointments and done, needles have been injected, eggs are collected and fertilised, and now...the wait
One client going through a devastating miscarriage, the appointment was filled with questions and anger, frustration and sadness but we fitted in some smiles and laughs too
And a client who is happily but anxiously pregnant again after suffering a traumatic loss earlier this year, week by week I see this client get stronger as her bump grows bigger
And this gorgeous Bee lantern was a beautiful gift from one of these ladies... I’ve described the work I do as a torch, some kind of guiding light through this scary and confusing path of fertility, IVF, pregnancy and postpartum. I don’t have all the answers and I don’t have the personal experience, but what I do have are amazing clients who share their stories with me so I can pass them on to those who need a little light in the darkness
