Alison and Fionnfola joined us for our weekly afternoon tea party. Accompanying the ladies was Aine Cullen; a SUSE+ participant who is excited to begin her Beauty placement as part of the Lifestyle programme within Milesian Manor.
🥰Aine is qualified to Level 2 in Beauty and is ready to share her knowledge and meet the wonderful residents for manicures and hand massages!🥰

🌟We are delighted to have formed a community partnership with Alternative Angels - a group who support people with learning disabilities within the community🌟
🧡Two members of staff and five service users visited us and after a show around and refreshments in The Greyhound Pub; Joanne one of the group facilitators brought in her piano accordion and performed lots of old time classics which our residents absolutely loved!🧡
🌟On departure there were lots of hugs and excitement regarding new beginnings and opportunities. One of the group even stated that she no longer wanted to volunteer at Milesian Manor, she wanted to live there!🌟

🌸🌺Our residents had a wonderful afternoon with Colin and Fern creating a Sensory flower bed within our very own garden and as the photos show were just delighted with the final product🌸🌺
🌷Each resident had the opportunity to plant their own flower or herb and we are looking forward to watching our garden flourish throughout the next few months🌷
💐We were educated in the healing properties of some of the herbs and flowers which included Lavender, Lemon and Echinacea💐
... 🌿Resident May thoroughly enjoyed sharing with the group her use of Lavender whilst she worked as an aroma therapist🌿
🍃🎋Kitchen staff are looking forward to having an abundance of fresh chives for meals and Lula and Lita were just delighted that we now have Mint on tap for their Mojitos!!

❤️We would like to thank The Terrace Hotel for allowing us the use of their function room for this event, we would also like to thank Gerry who was our quiz master for the evening❤️
