Mindful Breath Ni Description

My name is Dympna Mc Namee and I live in Omagh, Co. Tyrone. My journey with mindfulness started 5 years ago when I was experiencing a lot of suffering through a period of change in my life, I went on a 5 day mindfulness retreat to 'get away from it all' and on retreat what I learnt was that I needed to be with the emotions I was experiencing and really truly be with myself. I went on to establish a daily mindfulness and meditation practice while attending regular retreats to support this. In doing this I was able to bring healing to my pain and my life. Because of the revolutionary effect mindfulness practice has had on me, I am inspired to share this with others who are experiencing difficulties or change in their own lives. Mindfulness had such a positive impact on my life, it has now developed into a passion to introduce it to children and adults within the school setting and in the community.

I am trained to deliver the Youth Mindfulness Kids Programme and I have also delivered bespoke programmes to local children in a childcare setting.

In October 2017 I will complete the Youth Mindfulness year long training programme to deliver an 8 week Mindful Living course to adults. I have delivered this programme within my work setting with young adults with brilliant success. I will be organising a date for my first adults course soon, so please let me know if this might be of interest to you.

If you have an already established group or wish to bring a group of children or adults together to learn about mindfulness please contact me. I am also open to running the Kids Programme for parents and children together as it is adaptable to all ages. . . the practice of mindfulness is most beneficial when it's practiced together : )

Mindfulness offers us a way to bring calm and stability to the mind, allowing us to be awake and alert to life and ourselves. In being awake and alert to life and ourselves we can start to bring peace, joy and happiness to every single moment.

Most importantly Mindfulness supports us to have a better relationship with ourselves, it is something for you in the first instance but in benefiting your life it also benefits the lives of those around you.
