Mingles Nightclub

Mingles Nightclub was a discotheque located within the Strangford Arms Hotel on Church Street in Newtownards, Northern Ireland. It reigned supreme from the mid 80's to the early 90's, before changing it's name to La Winters as it is known as today.

Mingles Nightclub ran mostly on a Friday & Saturday night.

The Saturday Night's resident was DJ Jay Caulfield, later joined by DJ Danny Dee around 1989. It was here that Danny started his career thanks to Jay.

Friday Nights were hosted by the legendary entertainer Tommy Carmichael. Most remembered for his "I know a bear called Boo Boo Bear" song and all the naughty things it did.
