This winter, pharmacies across NI, are working closely with the HSCB and GP surgeries, to provide a Pharmacy First Service to ease the pressure on GP surgeries. So if you’re suffering with a sore throat or cold and flu-like symptoms and feel you need a GP, please visit your local Pharmacy First to see if they can help. The pharmacist can be seen without appointment and will assess the patient, provide advice and discuss treatment options. If a GP referral is still needed, the pharmacist will advise the patient accordingly. The service is available until March 31st 2019 and is available to all adults and children registered with a GP in NI. This winter think #PharmacyFirst.
