Music @ McQuiston is an annual (thus far) concert run by McQuiston Presbyterian Church in East Belfast. We host a number of amateur & semi-professional performers each year, with a varied programme of jazz, classical, musical theatre, contemporary Christian and pop music. Concerts have been produced each year since 2007, and regularly attract large audiences from further afield than just Belfast.

What a pleasure to host the University of Warwick Symphony Orchestra last Saturday evening. They “wowed” our 150-strong audience with a crowd-pleasing programme, along with local mezzo-soprano Nuala Anthony. Great night’s entertainment...and resulted in a sizeable cheque for this season’s charity - The Marie-Curie Hospice. 🙂

What an absolute pleasure it was to host The University of Warwick Symphony Orchestra last Saturday evening as part of our new, revamped "Music @ McQuiston" concert series. Each of the young musicians are a credit to, and fantastic ambassadors for, the university.
They wowed our 150-strong audience with a crowd-pleasing programme...and it looks like they enjoyed immersing themselves in Belfast life during their short visit.
A massive thank you to the orchestra for agreeing ...to be a part of Music @ McQuiston, to Laurie for keeping them all together, to Maria Dunkley for her tremendous hard work in organising the trip, to "Drummond Reid Pianos" for their selfless help to us....and to the wonderful audience who gave up their Saturday evening to come out an support us. (Thanks to them, we raised over £700 (we will be paying a visit to the Marie Curie Centre next week with a cheque!))

Admission, as always, is free. No tickets will be allocated, but if you could fire us a message or comment below your intention to attend, it would help us with numbers for refreshments at the interval (also free...!!!).

We apologise (better late than never, I suppose!) for the cancellation of our usual October concert last year (due to unforeseen booking circumstances)...but we are very excited to announce a different kind of alternative.
The University of Warwick Symphony Orchestra, and Nuala Anthony (mezzo-soprano) will present a programme for you on Saturday 16th March.
We realise that this is a different sort of concert than Music @ McQuiston is associated with, but sincerely hope you will come out and support the orchestra, which is travelling a long way to perform for us. The programme will consist of light/accessible classical music, as detailed on the poster.
Three fabulous local talents worthy of any national coverage!! Wonderful!!!

Music @ McQuiston is honoured to have been asked to be a part of the 270th Anniversary celebration week of 2nd Ards Presbyterian Church. At the end of a week of presentations and exhibits by members of 2nd Ards Presbyterian, Music @ McQuiston will close the celebrations by presenting a programme including performers from the past decade of our concert series. Alan McCreedy, Debbie Rea, Fiona Gormley & Bryan Gormley will be some of the artists involved and you will be treated to the music of “Simon & Garfunkel”, “Ed Sheeran”, Rend Collective”, “Louis Armstrong” & “The Beatles” among songs from a range of genres including jazz, pop, Songs from the Shows, contemporary Christian and classical. Come along on 17/11/18 and join in the fun!!

While we were unable fulfil our commitment to Music @ McQuiston 2018 this October, we are delighted to announce that Music @ McQuiston has been asked to be the main attraction at the finalé of the week-long celebrations of the 270th anniversary of 2nd Ards Presbyterian Church. It has been our intention from the start that we could attract people of all walks of life - those with a Christian faith, and those without - and that God would use us to make ripples throughout the l...ocal area and beyond.
We are delighted He has used us to make ripples through Newtownards and down the Ards Peninsula, and that we have the opportunity, now, to spread our wings a little further.
On Saturday 17th November, we will be, for the most part, presenting our 2017 '10th anniversary' programme in 2nd Presbyterian Church, Newtownards. Many of you will have been present in McQuiston last year for this programme, but if you have got a bit of a twitch for some more Music @ McQuiston (as this year's production has been postponed :( ) then please come along to this one.
