Titanic exhibitor Sebastien Wlominck, Nomadic collector Philippe Delaunoy and the City of Tournai proudly present 'The Belgians on board Titanic', our first joined exhibition!
Sebastien will show his wonderful Titanic exhibition depicting the life on board RMS Titanic and White Star Liners.
Philippe will present his Nomadic Collection items from the last White Star Line vessel still existing in the world, SS Nomadic.
... Various Belgian Titanic passengers relatives will give you the opportunity to admire their own family archives, including Titanic orchestra violinist George Krins!!!
Lectures, James Cameron TITANIC movie and much more will be scheduled in Tournai Tourism Office.
The exhibition will coincide with major events in the thousand years city of Tournai, so why not staying there a few days...

NOMADIC LIFEBOAT ON DISPLAY
As the world's only surviving White Star Line lifeboat, Nomadic's #2 boat is now the star attraction as part of the 'Titanic in Photographs' exhibition on board Queen Mary in Long Beach, California.
The exhibition is scheduled to run until July 2018 and on it's opening day (4th July) attracted 3,700 visitors!
... The lifeboat is accompanied by some rare and even unique Titanic artefacts, including a lifejacket from a survivor, Wallace Hartley's sheet music that was recovered with his violin and a gold watch, picked up from the deck, as the last lifeboat (collapsible C) was preparing to be launched.

Nomadic #2 lifeboat exhibited on 9th April 2016 alongside the ship !

In memory of Nomadic Preservation Society vice-chairman, Roy Snowden, who sadly passed away in December 2015, we will be introducing the Roy Snowden Award for Outstanding Contribution to SS Nomadic.
At the Gala Dinner this Saturday evening at TNC2016, this prestigious award will be presented for the first time in recognition of outstanding voluntary work during the past 12 months.
I wonder who'll be receiving this wonderful trophy?

STEFAN MUNTWYLER
It is with great sadness that I must announce the passing of our dear friend & NPS member, Stefan Muntwyler.
Stefan was a member of the Swiss Titanic Society and first volunteered to work on board Nomadic in early 2007; spending a week with us, enjoying every minute. He came back on numerous occasions and his enthusiasm was truly infectious; he will be greatly missed by those who had the privilege of meeting and working with him.
... One of his final wishes was for his ashes to be scattered in Belfast Lough and this will take place during the NPS/BTS Convention on Saturday 9th April between 5/6pm. A memorial boat tour, 'Remembering Stefan' has been organized by Gertrud Schmidt and anyone interested in joining us is very welcome.
